Joe Scarborough was on Meet the Press this morning and at the very end of his segment he responded to a question from David Gregory regarding what happened this week between Letterman and Palin. Joe just does not "get it" if he thinks Sarah Palin is "picking fights with late night comics" in regards to David Letterman and his off color joke regarding her 14 year old daughter, Willow. To me, "picking a fight" implies that Sarah Palin started this current event.

She didn't. She is defending her child. If Letterman had said the same words using the same venue about Scarborough's child, would he keep silent? If he did, and let his child bear the brunt of these public remarks, what kind of parent does that make him?

I would vote any day for a person, man or woman, whom I have witnessed standing up against an injustice done their child, over one who rolled over and kept silent because it was politically beneficial for them to do so.

Shame on Joe Scarborough for inferring that Palin was not doing the correct thing in defending her daughter and for that matter taking Letterman to task for all the crude remarks he has made about her children in the past. Children of politicians, especially as young as those in the Palin family should be as off limits as the Obama children are.
