New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, a Republican, is calling on the CEO of CBS to fire David Letterman for crude comments he made about Sarah Palin and her daughter.
In the letter to CBS chief Les Moonves, Kolb said he took Letterman to task for the "shockingly inappropriate" jokes.
As the proud father of a daughter, and as a husband, I wanted Mr. Moonves to hear from me directly about Mr. Lettermans disparaging remarks," Kolb said in a written statement.
Firing Mr. Letterman would send a clear message that CBS will not tolerate any of its employees even an established media figure like Mr. Letterman making demeaning and degrading comments about women.

Bingo! A winner!!! This is the marketplace deciding off with his head in a figural manner. Letterman crossed the line and now the public is coming after him. In what world must we listen to more of this anti child/anti woman crap? He had his free speech and now the rest of the free people are having their say. Do not forget for one moment that we are now at war.
Sure. The Left demanded we not use Hussein's middle name during the campaign and we sure fought back for our free speech rights, didn't we?
I really don’t care what you think. Thanks for taking the time in between gulps of cheap liquor to post though.
Yes we do. Letterman excercised his with his remarks denigrating the Palins.
Now our side is excercising our free speech rights by calling for his firing.
What's wrong with that?
Are you a Letterman aide? You sound just like him. Got any under age girls on your lap right now you want to insult?
CBS’s interactive TV.com is taking comments on the Letterman vs Palin controversy...go there to comment:

I’m a Virginian who lived in GA now in NC. I know little about how things work in NY. LOL Thanks for the info.
Busting up those networks would HELP them more than hurt.

Imus was wrong...so was Letterman.
But a rose is a rose.
Imus was fired. Letterman should be, too (won't happen). Maybe he could go to work for HGTV.
If Palin does nothing else in her life but to stand up to this nonsense, she will have succeeded.
Good for Briand and Gary, but what’s up with these NY Republicans?
I think that's what scares Letterman the most--being painted as a lecherous old man. Calls for firing are just good PR, but when Palin made this all about a sexually inappropriate comment about a 14 y.o. girl, she sure got the d-bag's attention.
Please put me on your ping list.
If Letterman is going to be a bigoted creep on TV, he should at least be an equal opportunity bigoted creep.
NYS assembly has been Dem controlled since the mid 1960’s. To my knowledge the GOP has never retaken it since.
Agree.
Children should be OFF-LIMITS, PERIOD!
That’s the guy Letterman is sleeping with? No wonder he’s having fantasies about Palin and her daughters.
If true, he must have loved the audience reaction to keep the joke in his monologue.
WE are the MARKETPLACE!
