You now- I didn’t like it much when Bill Clinton was there either, but I’d give anything for it to be him there today. This man somehow defiles sacred ground.

At least Clinton had minimal experience in the military (ROTC) and learned of some of its values and traditions there. Obama never served, never was in ROTC, never a first responder, or even handled a firearm in his life.

Isn't that the way with a lot of the veterans from past wars? My late stepfather was a DI in the Army, and we knew he had served as a medic for several tours in Vietnam...when he died a few years ago, we learned he'd ALSO served in Korea, and had received a Purple Heart at some point, and several other medals and commendations--he never spoke about them while he was alive, and really wouldn't answer but the most basic of questions when asked about his service. [awestruck]

God has blessed America from its beginning with those in our military who have offered up their lives unselfishly to preserve the freedoms we so take for granted nowadays. A big thank you to tall those throughout history who have served, and to those who are proudly serving today! From a 'Navy brat' who really appreciates all that you have done and continue to do for this country, despite naysayers who dare to malign you all!! And many many thanks to your families as well, who must make many sacrifices for America as well. We salute all of you! :*)

Obama spent his early years in Indonesia and then a sheltered life in Hawaii. He went to Occidental, Columbia Chicago, Harvard and then back to Chicago.

He has no frame of reference of American History except from the left. He knows nothing about the men and women who are the heart and soul of this country.

I just recently watched the replay of the speech on C-SPAN. My thoughts were exactly yours.

It was his worst speech ever. Absolutely awful. Despite the obvious poor speech, Chrissy the sissy got a thrill up his leg, and Evan Thomas compared Obama to God. These media people are completely delusional.

Zero is a disgrace and for the second time in my adult life, I’m ashamed to be an American.
