Good for Megyn. This article is reprehensible in the way it objectifies and diminishes women and implicitly calls for violence.

I will give them credit, though. For the most part, they picked some attractive women. They’re proving that our women are more attractive than theirs.

I’m sure Ann Coulter is upset that she wasn’t included.

And it was entirely hypocritical of Playboy to remove the article. It is preserved on the web, however, at http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2009/06/02/the-playboy-article-nsfw/ so Palyboy can’t hide the shameful thing they did.

Playboy was on my list 25 years ago as a subscriber. Promoting rape of conservative women will be the death knell.

The left again displays a tendency found most often in lessor societies (arab, mainly) where women are treated with contempt. Women make up half of humanity, for Christ's sake.

This is an ugly in-road into our society and our real men must do more than speak up- they gotta start kicking some ass.

There are some people among us who need a good fist in the mouth, like that smarmy little fag who berated Miss California over her 'opinion' on gay marriage. Was it about 'gay marriage'?, hell no. It was about a woman this little co*ksucker could never compete with when it comes to attracting a 'man'. She threatened his homo appeal in ways he'll never understand.

To let these events rise to national attention without an adequate response is detrimental. The only way this story works is when Perez Hilton is in a dentist's office trying to get his teeth fixed. He had it coming, believe me.

It's a pretty simple formula: you attack my women, I attack you back. As a society we need to send a message.

"Leave our girls alone."

What’s truly sad is that I know a lot of liberals who have made comments to me in that same vein. Things like “I’d like to rape Ann Coulter”, just to give one example.

W. Cleon Skousen, damn BYU alum that he was, had it right when he said that Communists will do and say just about anything toward their political enemies.

I agree with Megyn that Playboy certainly didn’t display respect for women by allowing these lousy comments on their site, but let’s be clear here.

Playboy has never respected women for anything other than their ability to sell magazines by exposing their private parts to the public on it’s pages.

Many lovely women have been sold on the idea that shaving and exposing their privates, was the way to popularity and success.

Frankly, I would have rather seen them dress up in classy clothes and tell me more about themselves, than make up stories that will only lead other women to go down the same rabbit hole.

Hugh, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Ladies, so should you. And guys, those of you who support this publication, so should you.

don’t know what it’s going to take, but it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than that to counter the kind of hate playboy displayed towards these women.

Hey, they are just targeting the Muslim market now that they know we are one of the biggest Muslim nations....

Playboy really crossed the line with this. There is no rational excuse for naming specific women to be raped.

I haven’t seen a Playboy in years but if you go to that link in post 21 it is something totally different, antisexual and more angry than anything I remember from the old Playboy.

and another thing, boys.......it used to be that real men would defend women no matter what....a husband or father or brother in the olden days would never stand for this treatment....

Ansel, in my youth I gave a far amount of Playboy magazines a once over. To be honest, it wasn’t something I would go spend money on, but every kid gets exposed to it at some point in time.

Your observation may be right on target. I haven’t really checked Playboy out in quite a while.

When you get right down to it though, it’s always been a seedy magazine ripping off women for a buck. I will say though, it has been one of the classier magazines in the field, because there are others out there that make Playboy look like a church pamplet.

I’ve never dated any woman I would like to have seen expose themselves in Playboy. And if I don’t want my girl friend or wife exposed there, it’s just not right for me to want other women to be.

I’m not as big a prude as this makes me sound, but it strikes me that it objectifies women to the point that young men don’t see women for who they are as much as what they can get from them.

I think that leads to many an unsuccessful relationship, and in all too many instances, there are kids involved too.

I know my brother and I never tolerated much of anything from the prepubescent little creeps my sister dated and associated with when she was growing up. Thankfully, she did marry a good guy, or else there would have been hell to pay. :)

True, but they’ve crossed a new line here.

Hope they’re ‘man’ enough to take the blowback.

As I got into my mid twenties I started seeing Playboy as kind of the “mama’s boy” magazine, it was like looking at your well built sister, there was something sterile and artificial about it. The woman didn’t seem to be the subject, it was almost as if us looking at the sterilized woman was the subject.

Yes, the air brushing did give that artificial look to them. It also made a lot of really cute girls look ho hum by comparison. Even the girls in those photos didn’t look like that.

Yes, it is a weird thing for a guy to say on it’s surface, but something has always been wrong about Playboy and I mean ignoring morality and porn issues etc, there was always something wrong psychologically at Playboy.
