The federal government mistakenly made public a 266-page report, its pages marked highly confidential, that gives detailed information about hundreds of the nations civilian nuclear sites and programs, including maps showing the precise locations of stockpiles of fuel for nuclear weapons.
The publication of the document was revealed Monday in an on-line newsletter devoted to issues of federal secrecy. That publicity set off a debate among nuclear experts about what dangers, if any, the disclosures posed. It also prompted a flurry of investigations in Washington into why the document was made public.
On Tuesday evening, after inquiries from The New York Times, the document was withdrawn from a Government Printing Office Web site.
...
President Obama sent the document to Congress on May 5 for Congressional review and possible revision, and the Government Printing Office subsequently posted the draft declaration on its web site.

BS! it was an accident. It was a preplanned timed release of sensitive information to our enemies.
I wonder if it contained GPS data?
With this list, the terrorist don’t have to obtain or manufacture their own nuclear material, they just cause a release of our material using this document as a road map.
Also, how dumb do they think we are? Oak Ridge TN is a tourist attraction! EVERYONE knows what they did and do there. The article itself states It calls itself the nations Fort Knox for highly enriched uranium, a main fuel of nuclear arms. No, it all the other little known, secret and lightly secured facilities that now have been revealed to terrorist.
I guess since those who want to destroy America and kill as many infidels as possible have had a hard time obtaining nuclear material, this administration decided to make it easier for them.
Traitors.
I just had a thought.
If the document did not contain GPS data, the ACORN census data collectors all across the nation could find these instalations and use their GPS devices that they are currently mapping every household with to map the “front doors” of these facilities.
Thanks! Allah Akbar! (-:
I looked at it and I don’t know how much of the info is in the public domain already but if I wanted to know which facility did what(and blue prints of said facility) this document would be the answer. It wouldn’t be “Highly Confidential Safegaurds Sensative” and have FOIA request exemptions if it wasn’t info that is intended to be kept secret.
I missed this yesterday, thnx for pinging us! It’s under his reign...(I understand the question mark)
Crap to you and me but is it crap to a chinese agent looking for nuc secrets? One wondering where we are working on say laser enrichment or other high tech? I don’t know...
“exempt from disclosure” would indicate the info is protected from FOIA requests and doesn’t have to be made public.
It’s more likely that it’s the 0bama’s Administration’s attempt to publicly leak sensitive documents under the guise of an accident.
They needed a legal way to let their wacko liberal cohorts know where to protest or bomb.

It’s also revealed this morning, that this report was developed at the urging of the United Nations. The document was to wind up in their hands from the git-go. So where’s the confidentiality in that?
The U.N. would have undoubtedly shared it with others anyway.
Yeah but at least he knows how to spell potatoe.
Yes, important point...
Still extremely disturbing - we’re taking orders from the UN regarding our nuclear program? Toward what end - in the hopes that other nations will play nicey nice? “Oh look, the nice US is sharing, can’t you share too”?/s
Yes, it’s disgusting. The child is on the loose again...
Im surprised the NYT didnt copy it and put it on the front page....

They would have if W was still president.
Let me put on my tin foil hat here:
Not only was this document intentionally made public, but certain individuals and organizations were apprised of where to go to find it and download its contents.
It is well known that Congress can’t keep a secret.
This smells of an intentional Obama administration move to weaken our nuclear defense capabilities by letting enemies, both state and terrorist, know where the jewels are.
Certainly Russia would be interested in this information. Also, how about Iran - maybe theft from one of our sites would save them the trouble of running those 7,000 centrifuges.
Obama is criminally weakening America, as well as Israel.
Well, at least two of us realize it. :-)
Unfortunately, in the last 4 months America has dropped her guard. The consequences will be real and swift as I see it. That this maniac could ever be elected to the position of President in America is beyond my comprehension. CO
