I've always appreciated speeches by President Bush. I believe if one would look back to Live Threads following some of his speeches, they were some of the longest in history on FR. He seemed to have many more supporters back then; I still count myself as one. Talk about an angel in a whirlwind....

Just because it is his first public speech it does not mean he will get political.

Bush wouldnt say crap if he had a mouthful. Look for a few platitudes and a boring speech.

“W” couldn’t upstage a tomato nor could his father.

I expect him to stick with tradition and not criticize The One. That is partly respect for the Office, and partly because he and Cheney are playing a game of good cop/bad cop with them.

Former President George W. Bush may finally upstage Dick Cheney this week. After months of silence while Cheney has been blasting away at President Obama, Bush is scheduled to make two semi-public appearances.

Not necessarily good news. Cheney is a far better defender of George W. Bush's policies on national security than Bush ever was.

Former President Bush will give a positive, pro-American economic speech.

He won’t take a cheap shot at current politicians of either Party.

Nor will he be leading the U.S. out of 0bama’s mess. Bush is retired. He’s done. That’s it.

Of course, lots of mental midgets will be upset that Bush isn’t doing their work for them...they will type cheap shots against him...they want someone to stick up for them and to do the dirty work so that they can continue to do nothing but type on keyboards.

Tough!

Some of the kiddies around here really need to learn to grow up and stand up for themselves in the real world.

I certainly hope he doesn’t start blabbering about “comprehensive immigration reform”.

“Bush to Break his Silence”

Oh Lord. He’s going to continue mucking everything up.

Keep your mouth shut, George. You are in the past and not relevant. Thanks to you, we are having enough problems of our own.

Stay away.

Keep you mouth shut.

He is probably going to try and do some damage to the tea party movement since he is a RINO.

George W. Bush is and has always been a coward politically.
The Democrats sensed that early on, and took advantage of that like schoolyard bullies picking on an easy target.

I wish Bush would just keep his head down and stay out of the way. About the best help we can hope for from him is a “You’re doing a heck of a job, Barry.”

Bet 0 is chain smoking on this one.

Has he set up his “time slot” to retaliate?

I really hope Bush sees this country being taken over by the Left and he needs to “speak up” by the silent Civil War in this country.

If it’s not recorded it isn’t a “major speech.”
