Former President George W. Bush may finally upstage Dick Cheney this week. After months of silence while Cheney has been blasting away at President Obama, Bush is scheduled to make two semi-public appearances.

Tonight he'll speak to to the Economic Club of Southwest Michigan at Lake Michigan College. It's being billed as his first major speech to an American audience. The news media will be allowed to attend the event, but not record it. Right.

“If he had any balls, he would have revoked the press credentials of 99% of the liberal hacks in the WH press corps and would have went after outlets such as the NY Times for giving material aid to the enemy by leaking top secret information”.

...agreed. His “thank you sir may I have another” way of dealing with the press secured the election of the marxist baboons that we’re faced with now. He had plenty of evidence on them. He could have been a “whistleblower” of sorts.

I liked his speeches... and he didn't need no stinkin' teleprompter.

In the words of John123... X2!

did you see it, or are you just reporting what you’ve heard?

I've seen it on a couple of occasions and heard it from dozens of our troops!

GWB did go away.
And now you have Barack Obama.

You should feel all better now.

Let’s see if you direct as much invective at a liberal president whose deficits and national debt exceed the combined deficits and debt of every president before Obama — including Obama’s predecessor, whom you detest.

Somehow I suspect you won’t pillory Obama as much as George W. Bush. No doubt you prefer, above all, to be the charter member of a circular firing squad.

And when *was* that last terrorist attack?

I’m sure you find it a somber visit, don’t you, when you witness all of those new ground zeroes that the spendthrift enabled because he let the terrorists attack us over and over.

You know the ones I mean: the smoking piles of rubble that once were the Sears Tower, the TransAmerica Pyramid, the Space Needle, the Empire State Building, Renaissance Tower, and the Capitol Records Building.

Oh wait ...

-George

Former President Bush will give a positive, pro-American economic speech.

He won’t take a cheap shot at current politicians of either Party.

Nor will he be leading the U.S. out of 0bama’s mess. Bush is retired. He’s done. That’s it.

Of course, lots of mental midgets will be upset that Bush isn’t doing their work for them...they will type cheap shots against him...they want someone to stick up for them and to do the dirty work so that they can continue to do nothing but type on keyboards.

Tough!

Some of the kiddies around here really need to learn to grow up and stand up for themselves in the real world.

I have actually met with him ~ 1 hour in his office. He is a very brilliant man, and all the DemocRATS on the Hill who have met with him, know it as well. He would run circles round Hussein in private. GW has a photographic memory — it blew my mind the stuff he can throw out on the cuff!

I certainly hope he doesn’t start blabbering about “comprehensive immigration reform”.

“If you weren’t there watching billions of dollars drain from the hedge funds, then you have no clue as to how close we came to total economic collapse.”

Yes, Probably true that it was scary to watch. But internationalist government and Bankers mismanagement for years, including the last 8, and especially the last one, caused the drain on the hedge funds.

Its kinda like if i light a fire in your house, then say thats why i chopped down the door, and flooded the place with my fire hose. The house was on FIRE dont you REALIZE?

Please.

Can’t the Bush family just go away?
Perhaps Melchior and the BDSers could just go away instead?

Amen!

When I read his post I was agast what an ingrate.

We knew what we were getting when we voted for Bush he keep his word as far as I am concern

He keep us safe, try to out good judges on the Supreme court and defended the unborn.

He was for Immigration, and misguilded on social programs.

GWB did not deceive us it was a give and take.

Thank you GWB for striving to keep your word!

President Bush gave several excellent speeches, with no stumbling or hesitation- in contrast to most he gave that seemed to be difficult for him. I got the impression when he spoke from the heart, about things that were personally important to him he was an excellent speaker. On speaking of other matters- even important issues he was not so good.

What I think is a joke is that Obama is characterized as such an excellent speaker- though he stumbles and uhs his way through without the telepromptor and mis-speaks as often or more so than President Bush when he doesn’t have the prompter to follow.

“Bush to Break his Silence”

Oh Lord. He’s going to continue mucking everything up.

Keep your mouth shut, George. You are in the past and not relevant. Thanks to you, we are having enough problems of our own.

Stay away.

Keep you mouth shut.

He is probably going to try and do some damage to the tea party movement since he is a RINO.

Here are my beefs:

I fully agree with every one of them, unfortunately a lot of freepers can see past the WOT, and that excuses everything else.
