The Slimes article blames it on Sarkozy and Brown, but I still have to wonder who is in charge of protocol at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. If the leader of the country that was liberated can’t see fit to share the spotlight with the leader of one of the countries that liberated it, perhaps the proper U.S. response would be, “We have a prior engagement in England that day.”

The Slimes says that Sarkozy doesn’t want to share the spotlight with the queen, as it would interfere with him mugging for the cameras with Obama. Thus, Sarkozy glorifies in the idea of catching political crumbs as they fall from the MEssiah’s table, and he prefers the friendship of a nation across the ocean to one that is physically connected to his own.

Am I supposed to believe that?

He’s going to speak in Dresden. He’s going to bash the British for the bombing of Dresden.

I am marking Warner Todd Huston and Publius Forum as a unreliable sources. Go to the (English) Daily Mail on line site for the Brit side of it. I don’t like being bull sh..ed by the Libs and EVEN LESS BY MY POLITICAL COLLEAGUES.

Even if it's not the 'O' teams call in an ideal situation your suggestion would have merit. However, that's not going to happen ... remember, the first time 'O' met the Queen he gave her an i-pod as a gift ... to add insult to injury it was programmed with his speeches.
'O' = obamination = abomination

And he coudln’t refuse HIS invitations on the premise that the head of our greatest ally and veteran of the war isn’t invited?

When the ravens leave and the White Tower falls they say Britain will fall too...you can go ahead and add the rest of the world in there. They’ll be alone in the world in the next year when we surpass them in our fascism and they’ll be left scracthing their heads.

Ian Fleming put it succinctly in Goldfinger: "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action."

How many more offenses -- ranging from the incidental to the appalling -- must this creature commit before we call him by his name and say Enough?

I'd say the Brits have reached that point. I wouldn't look for the Royal Family to be making any state visits any time in the next 3.5 to 7.5 years, and I wouldn't count on Obama receiving more any invitations soon.

Why does this guy hate our allies and love our enemies?

In the case of Great Britain, it's very easy to explain. Obama's father was a Kenyan. At the time of Obama's birth, Kenya was a British territory. No doubt, Obama holds the Brits in contempt for abusing his ancestors during the colonial period.

Obama's reaction to our ally, Great Britain, in his official capacity as US President, is very telling about his personality. He obviously cannot separate his allegiance to ancient familial connections from his duties and obligations as the head of our nation's government.

It's very interesting that for Obama, his ancient Kenyan connection is more important than his actual American connection. It's even more important than his position as President of the United States of America.

I hadn’t heard the part about the speeches on the ipod. Sadly, I am not surprised, and I’m not disappointed, either. Disappointment can only happen when you expected better.

and I say the queen should attend the ceremonies by crashing up on the beach in a freaking hovercraft preceded by an SAS and escorted by ground, air, and sea strike forces. I’m not the kind to bow to royalty but I don’t think anyone in her position should have to kowtow to communist sock puppets either....

He doesn’t hate our allies, just white women(his mother).

..I was thinking about the Brits rounding up about a dozen WW2 LSTs and running them onto the beach during the speechifying:
Then drop the ramps to show there is no one on board, like the next time France wants help.

See, here is the thing. You have to actually READ something before you get your panties in a bunch. The piece linked CLEARLY addresses your point:
Reports on exactly who is at fault here are sketchy. Some blame French President Sarkozy for not extending an invite to the Queen and some blame British Prime Minister Gordon Brown for not insisting that the Queen get an invite, but it is hard to understand how team Obama could be as hands off with this as it has been after the three other diplomatic rows that it has had with the Brits already. One would think that Obama’s White House would be extra alert for further snubs to the Brits and would seek to mitigate them. Apparently this is not the case, however.
Too bad you didn't actually read the thing first.

Actually, I thought it was the French that had snubbed us Brits with this (a totally usual position - we don’t worry about it) rather than 0bama.
