Get your plans set and join Freepers from across the U.S. for the 1st. annual Freeper National Tea Party Convention!
This event is open only to Registered Freepers, their families and friends.
Ill be coordinating this event with the MOST appreciated help from seekthetruth. For now I (Brytani) am collecting names of those who are committed to going to D.C. with us. Once we have a realistic idea of how many Freepers are aboard, I will be contacting Hotels in D.C. to find a group or convention rate.
We already have a few wonderful Hotels on our list and dont want to wait until they are filled up. The plan is simple and will take only a FreepMail but time is of the essence!!! Hotels in D.C. are filling up fast!!!
Please send Brytani a FreepMail if you are going to D.C. or if youre strongly considering attending. For now I need your FreeperID, the number of room you will need the how many people will be in your party. If you have any questions please ask them on this thread or if youd prefer you can FreepMail me.
During the first week of June I will announce the Hotel, room rate, address, perks etc and when and how your reservation will need to be made.
For those who are considering joining us but have not completely committed, please FreepMail as well. This will give me a better idea of how many room to inquire on.
If you are already attending please consider staying with Freepers from around the nation. Youll have the opportunity to meet people youve been talking to for years and make new FRriends.
Come on everyone get on board!!! Save a bit of money! Could you ask for a better group of people to spend a weekend with?
Thanks to JimRob for allowing us to make this event an official Free Republic function.
I guess I will have to bungee cord a satellite dish on top of my Limonomonol Phonomozine so I can hear him!
Syncro -
Wilkow is awesome - takes no crap from leftists, has his morals in the right place and never apologizes!!
I’ve been telling everyone to check him out if they have Sirius radio or not. You can log on as a guest on their site and listen.
I LOVE WILCOW!!!!!! Now I’m really excited!!!!
How many do we have so far???
Bump!
I’m not sure ....
When the tickets go on sale, we will get a better handle on it. There seems to be lots of interest.
Will you be going?
It would be great to meet you.
Well done, Brytani!!!!! Bravo!!!! : )
WOO-HOO!!!
I’m in there with my room reservation!
I reserved the nights of 10th, 11th, and 12th. Hope that works out OK, or I can change if not.
See y’all there!
For those of us unable to attend . . .
I hope plans are being made for . . .
running commentary on FR of the events.
Maybe with some questions for the speakers from a thread on FR.
I am going! I have my tickets..flying in from AZ! I made reservations at a hotel right near Capitol Hill so I could be right in the action, but I intend to be at the dinners and whatever other things are going on!
“Does anyone know if the Pentagon City metro stop is [practical] walking to and from this hotel? I am flying in to Reagan National & plan on walking and metro, no cabs.”
The Metro is right near the Sheraton. Also heard that cabs are reasonable too. More info is coming on Metro passes that can be purchased for the day. A good deal!
We will be flying in from FResno. I will make reservations at the Sheraton. The rates are great and for me it will be easy to get everywhere from there.
Will be looking forward to meeting you.
Hubby and I can’t wait for this! We are going to the Atlanta Tea Party on July 4- anyone else having one where they are?
I think those dates are perfect.
To have some sight-seeing time, we plan to fly in on the 9th and fly out on the 15th.
This is going to be a fun event.
I know that there is a metro stop near the Sheraton, but I am not certain how difficult it is to walk to from the Sheraton. Sidewalks, crossings etc.
My desire is to use only the metro and my feet, no cabs. In the past I have done a lot in DC without using cabs. My wife recently lost her job and my business is down significantly, so coming to DC is a financial sacrifice.
I will call the hotel and if they will give me details on that I will post that info.
Isn’t he fantastic?!?!?! I was so glad when he accepted!!!
I’m starting a live thread for his show on Monday - I’ve got to find all the Freeper Sirius/XM owners.
He’s going to be as big as Rush one of these days
The Sheraton is at a Metro stop about 1 block away. They will be running shuttle buses for us to get to and from The Mall and Walter Reed.
Hold your thanks guys we haven’t pulled this off yet
So far none of us have gone insane, a very good sign!!
How are you going to do the streaming video? Ustream?
We’re flying in Wednesday Sept. 9 and staying at the Sheraton thru Sunday.
Great job lining this hotel up Brytani. The view of D.C. at night is fabulous.
