Obama goes first in a few minutes. He's speaking at the rotunda of the National Archives (you think we could get Nicholas Cage on that birth certificate thingey?) on his Gitmo policy and other man-caused calamities.
Vice President Cheney gets the rebuttal time. He's speaking at the American Enterprise Institute around 10:45 a.m. EDT.
Obama has a serious blind spot and I’m certain it lies in his childhood...his Muslim upbringing and a mother who was an atheist. He is not truly an American in every sense of the word.
I read every word of Cheney’s speech. I started to save my favorite parts, but there were so many that I gave up. Cheney is intelligent, calm, forceful in his thinking, and RIGHT! God Bless Dick Cheney..
Our local radio show host had this to say about Obama’s speech:
“Petulant child, spoiled brat.” He also mentioned O’s head cocked up, and mentioned that only three terrorists were waterboarded, and NONE of them died.

I just started reading this thread because I was driving all day today, but I am so glad you said that. I was thinking the same thing. I went to the archives about a year ago and they nearly went nuts over how lights could destroy the documents and they had this long speech about not using cameras, etc. I was wondering how this guy rates getting to use cameras, lights and everything else that could ruin these precious documents.
Is this another attempt to “messiah-ize” the first family? The meaning of Michelle/Michael = who is like God. That’s my first impression of that cover. Anyone who shares her name, or is named Michael, or knows the basics of Judaism, or Christianity will likely read it that way, too. Their minds will answer the implied question automatically while looking at the cover of the magazine...

They key word in your argument being your father “joined” he was not drafted. We currently have an all volunteer military — as it should be. I didn’t believe in the draft then and I do not believe in it now.... and yes MY family all served in the military. I could care less if Cheney served in the military, there is many ways to serve your country and IMHO Cheney has served this country and served it well...
