The second editorial is rather reasonable. The first is insulting. No wonder they are shedding readers.
WOW! First I’ve seen the voting %’s - what an awesome / awe inspiring statement it makes!
Amazing, isn't it? "Democracy" no longer means that the people vote to make political decisions. It evidently means that people support the power of government to oversee "fairness" and to "empathize" with people.
In order to be "democratic" we must all support every "feel-good" bit of legislation passed by those who know better than we what is good for us.
