“I just talked to Hobie Smith, who is the AIP Chairman in Ohio. He said the streets outside are lined with pro-life protestors. He also said there’s a rumor going around that there are several busloads of ACORN Obama supporters inbound.”

His private ‘voluntary’ army! I mean Chavez has his red shirts, Hitler his brown shirts and Obama his orange shirts.

Just talked to Patrick Flynn. He says there are at minimum several thousand pro-lifers outside, with more buses rolling in. He’s with Dr. Keyes.

He said there are a couple of counter protesters across the street, but every time they fire up their bullhorn, our bagpipers fire up and drown them out.

Keyes just handed the Fox News commentatorhis backside on a platter. The commentator kept trying to take issue with Keyes opposition and protest, trying to take the "can't we all get along", and "we must engage others," line and why not let the President speak. Keys pointed out so clearly and artiiculately, as he can, that letting the President speak was irrelevant, and that engaging him is irrelevent because that is not what is happening here.

Notre Dame is honoring Obama, and that is the difference and the issue. Honoring is not engaging. Honoring goes well beyond hearing him speak and his different viewpoint. Honoring him sends a message to the youth that Obama's message is worth honor, and immulation...and that is a lie. It is in direct opposition to the precepts of the Catholic Church on life and morality which Notre Dame is first and foremost supposed to represent and promote.

Way to go Alan!

Liberty vs. tyranny! That was the question at America's founding, and the Founders' decision was for liberty. It was expressed in the founding documents and in their writings.

The underlying principle at the heart of America's constitutional protections, according to Thomas Jefferson, is declared in these words:

"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."

Life and liberty, therefore, once "endowed" by the "Creator," are inseparable and "unalienable." Thus, the first claim asserted by America's Founders was to an inherent, "Creator-endowed," unalienable and inseparable right to life and liberty which is prior to the right of any other being's determination (including the woman whose body houses the developing child).

If rights came to us by "grants" from individuals or collections of individuals (judges, legislators, or the executive branch), then the consequence of that idea would be that those rights would be "alienable"--an idea in opposition to the Declaration and the Constitution's goal of securing the "Blessings of Liberty."

Hopefully, more and more Americans will come to realize that "ideas have consequences." In the society, once the concept is accepted that life and liberty are not inherent and derived from the Creator, but by permission (grant) of individuals or government, then no person's life and liberty is secure at any point.

The question being highlighted by today's events at Notre Dame is crucial to the preservation of liberty for all citizens--not just those in the womb.

One can hope that those who turn to Fox can understand what Alan is telling them. The media, even Fox’s either don’t, or won’t “get it.”

Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo, has declined comment on the Notre Dame scandal. Why is the shepherd hiding? His obligation to the Magisterium requires that he interpret the truths of the Faith to the flock. A great evil is in progress and His Lordship avoids confronting the wolf.

Because he is a wimp, I say something else, but it might get me banned, Hint it is another word for cat.

She was arrested today.

One side note JMO I hope the Terry guy does not get disruptive today.

I am actually Praying that my fellow Catholic brethren will speak to Terry about the Catholic way to protest.

Terry is no better than code pink if he does anything unpeacefilled.
And BTW no I do not personally agree with his shock type methods.

A question I do have is does Terry make a hefty price of income from the pro life group he is with?

Some do, buyt that commentator didn't...and he picked the absolute wrong guy to try and spar with.

Despite his lack of success in campaigns, and there are good reasons for it IMHO, Alan Keyes is about as articulate, bright, well versed, and capable as anyone on both delivering and defending the conservative and moral basis for our liberty.

And he showed that again today by simply blowing the Fox commentator away and taking the opportunity to articulate the correct and direct message to millions.

Yes he did.

That guy was so smug and thought he could talk Alan down...but he picked the wrong guy to spar with. Alan shut him down and articulated a very direct and cler message about this whole shameful event to millions.

God bless him for it.

Terry is not!

And what is the Catholic way to protest? The only reason this is getting the attention it’s getting is because of the tactics of Keyes and Terry, the media is not going to cover a few Catholic students praying at the ND Grotto as a protest method.
