Man tried to hire prostitute for his son, 14
Yahoo News ^

" A man who tried to hire a prostitute to take his 14-year-old son's virginity as a present was spared jail by a court on Friday. The Polish national took the boy out in his car and allowed him to pick out the prostitute, who was standing at the side of the road in the red-light district of Nottingham. But the 42-year-old father was arrested because the teenager had chosen an undercover police officer, Nottingham Crown Court heard. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was handed a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for a year, after he admitted a charge of trying to solicit a woman to have sex with a child, the Press Association reported. "

"The court was told the boy would continue to live with his father."

You are 100% incorrect. Undercover police officers can lie when asked. It is not entrapment if they do lie. End of Story.

No joke, they can't lie about their authority or it's entrapment.

Who told you that?

Entrapment is to trick you into a crime by enticing or luring you into doing something you would not have otherwise done (the cop dressed up in her hooker outfit and then just showed up at your door). Under cover police officer can lie.

“But the 42-year-old father was arrested because the teenager had chosen an undercover police officer...”

There’s a very funny movie in this story, I can feel it!

And a few generations before that, my bloodline took pride in cutting out the hearts of their enemies and consuming part of it while it was still beating.

Reminds me of Benjamin Disraeli's come-back to the British antisemites: "when my ancestors were kings and priests in Israel, yours were naked and painted savages."

You realize that this was a common practice for hundreds of years in Europe. Taking a young man to "get experienced," usually at 15, was a right of passage.

Its only recently that we got uptight about all of this.

I had neighbors across the street from me in the 1980s who took their 18 year old son to Vegas for that purpose.

They had tried getting the local "older woman" neighborhood hussy, to do it, but she declined.

The son was a couple of standard deviations below average.

yeah it is not the best of all possible ideas..even in the early 80's there was herpes and the beginning of the AIDS thing.

Though stories like this tend to galvanize me on the differences between teenage boys and teenage girls...

The sexes are different in my opinion (and not just the obvious)....to the point where I dont feel a teenage boy is molested by his 20 something teacher... In my HS days in the mid 60’s if one of your buds was to tell you that he kanoodled the (female)social studies teacher, it would have been a badge of honor and a one of the ultimate male rights of passage into adulthood.

On the other hand I would probably strangle any teacher who
was In flagrante dilecto with any daughter of mine....which I dont have as we made boys.

such is the way of the world I would have to say.
