President Barack Obama has accepted the resignation of an official who authorized the presidential aircraft flyover in lower Manhattan last month, CBS 2 has learned.
Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, handed in his resignation Friday. The news comes as Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the Air Force flyover that sparked a panic was not adequately reviewed and approved by senior service and department officials.
The flyover was arranged as part of a photo opportunity for White House records. The official photo was released along with Caldera's resignation and the official report on the flyover.

Why is that so vital?
I would love to know who was on that plane....michelle and the girls on a joy ride? as U.S. citizens who paid for it, we are entitled to the truth, whatever it is.
I can only find one telling shadow on the island from the flagpole, However I don’t know enough about how the island is situated to determine if the 11 o’clock position of the shadow coincides with the mid morning time frame of the flyover

I, for one believe they were giving joy rides to the NY-NJ campaign supporters, ie: Jay-Z, Sean Combs, Brooke Shields, assorted athletes. and other donors.

flight plans are not allowed to pass over major cities like Air Force One did....you do recall they got special premission......freedom of information should include all the information......if they were innocent let them declare that for themselves.......as for me, I want all the information out there.....

This is snapshot quality work. The pilot took this using a cheap handheld point-and-shoot digital camera through the canopy of his aircraft. You don’t spend $375,000 to get such a crappy photograph. You send a professional photographer with professional equipment to take a reasonably good picture.
Compare this to other AF1 beauty shots. It doesn’t even come close.

Because the operative Chicago thang is "pay to play"...so who paid?
