WASHINGTON - The White House aide who authorized the controversial Air Force One photo-op flight last week around the Statue of Liberty is out of a job.
President Obama has accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, the Daily News learned Friday.
A secretary of the Army in the Clinton administration, Caldera took the fall for the public relations fiasco arising from the April 27 flyover, which was designed to replace a publicity photo of Air Force One flying past Mount Rushmore with a similar shot of Obama's 747 jumbo jet over the Statue of Liberty.

You can bet there were passengers on that plane. We will never find out the truth of it, but can only guess as to he was “paying back” and for what.
Not suprising. Someone had to lose their job for scaring the crap out of New Yorkers. Obama knew nothing about this of course.

I’ve seen planes used for aerial photography for various airline ads. They’re usually done from a fairly large plane with a glass “blister” on the side specifically for that type of photography.

You know, this was supposed to be a PHOTO OP. As an amateur photographer and someone who appreciates professional photography, that is a pretty crappy professional photo.
My four-year-old could have taken a better shot.

Louis Caldera is the first Civilian to ever hold that position. Until The One took office, WHMO was a billet filled by a Rear Admiral. There is a reason why Senior Military Officers have those jobs, as Obama has just found out....
