WASHINGTON - The White House aide who authorized the controversial Air Force One photo-op flight last week around the Statue of Liberty is out of a job.
President Obama has accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, the Daily News learned Friday.
A secretary of the Army in the Clinton administration, Caldera took the fall for the public relations fiasco arising from the April 27 flyover, which was designed to replace a publicity photo of Air Force One flying past Mount Rushmore with a similar shot of Obama's 747 jumbo jet over the Statue of Liberty.
Remember it was the break in that got Nixon....It was the coverup......Let’s keep digging!
The wheels on the plane go thump, thump, thump,
Thump, thump, thump,
Thump, thump, thump...
is this real?
Louis!! Don’t worry, unless you are Toot, you’ll climb out from under that bus one day!
There's no way a professional photographer would accept this, or allow it to be released.
Rather than just a photo, I would think the RAW file should be released, as well as others on the memory card that was used for the series. It's impossible that only one photo was taken.
My guess is that if this is indeed one of the actual photos, it has been adjusted in order to conceal something. Also, the White House should reveal what type of camera equipment was used and what were the settings. A high resolution shot (15M +) would likely show a lot of detail, so much that it should be possible to determine the identity of the ferry boat that is a few hundred yards of the island. Almost certainly, there were people on the ferry who took pictures from the ground, and they can verify the position of the photographer's plane.
My first thought on seeing this photo is that it doesn't match the direction of the F-16- as is always appeared more rearward.
Can you say “Scapegoat”?
I wonder when we will find out who was on the plane? Shouldn’t be a big secret. Should it? /s
LOL. Join the crowd under the bus, dude.
If you look closely at the windows, you can see Barbra, Sean (Penn), George (Soros), and the Bruce hisself!
Here’s his daily schedule. Scroll back the dates to April 27th, a Monday and the flyover date (over to the right). No telling what guests were at the WH over the weekend from Chicago, Kenya, Hawaii, etc.
Not good enough.
What elite rats were on the plane?
Who cooked this up, Follywood, Osama or 0b0z0?
Lol! Look at the glare on the canopy! What a freaking riot! No doubt, the pilot had his personal camera with him, and he took the opportunity to snap a few photos. My husband’s done that so many times during training and actual missions that I couldn’t even guess close to the number of photos we have laying around here.
That said, who was the supposed “real photographer?” And his career has him normally shooting photos from a military jet? I didn’t think you could take all that gear up with you into an ejection seat.
Nice try Obama. It’s helping us every time you keep insulting us.
bttt
Hope and Change people. Hope and Change.

Sorry, there’s No Hope....with this Dope.
That would be my guess. A professional photographer would have taken bracketed exposures, and put a polarized filter on the lens to block the reflection.
I wonder what they promised Caldera (or threatened him with) to say Rahm Emanuel didn’t know about this.
$300,000? It’s a bit dark, idn’t it?
