I'm sorry, but I think that kind of stuff isn't useful at all. It just turns people off, rather than changing hearts and minds.
Leave that sort of thing to the Code Pink harpies.
What then, would you say would be a reasonable and measured response that would change hearts and minds?
Yes, no need for theare.
Full color photos of the dismembered-baby limb filled stainless steel trash receptacles in abortion mills might be more effective.
Or more subtly, the well-circulated images of the already very human growing child in the womb.
Can’t argue with the truth.
You are so right. They also violated university rules and those rules are there for everyone. I agree with you that this type of action turns people off. Pulling the stunt with strollers or baby carriages turns me off and I am pro-life. Buys the pro-life movement nothing but makes the news which is what some of the grandstanders wanted.
I agree with you.
Every war is won using a variety of tactics.
WWII used everything from leaflets, to rifles, to flamethrowers, to tanks, to atomic bombs. Every facet contributed to our win.
Same is true in this war against abortion. Every tactic makes its contribution. These blood covered carriages are perhaps the flamethrower equivalents. Very gruesome, revolting perhaps even to those who are pushing them, and possibly more effective than we can imagine.
Never forget...there are people on the left who infiltrate these protest.
Never put it pass them to pull a stunt such as this. Just saying.
I know it won’t be played out that way, but most know how the socialist of the world work their agendas.
Sometimes you have to attract attention to an issue to get the attention it deserves...sometimes it's not attractive, but necessary..
Absolutely right.
What evidence do you have?
I agree with your comment about the bloody babies. I personally feel it is over the top. They have a right to do it...I have a right to my opinion.
I think, though, that the college should be ashamed about trying to restrict a peaceful protest. It is civil disobedience...and I respect the rule of law...but the way things are going, I’m wondering how long it’s going to be before the tea party protests are somehow “trespassing”.
As for the abortion question. I found the following to be the most wonderful tool in the debate, yet.

Dead bloody babies SHOULD turn people off. Shall I post some of those pics to change your heart?
I don’t think aborted babies should ‘turn people on’.. yea, some folks don’t like how they delivered the message, but at least they where there doing something. It sure did get them a lot of media attention, now is the battle for how it is sold.
The way I see it, you have government officials stifling free speech and oppressing peaceful protesters on a university campus that prides itself with ‘free speech zones’ in public locations.
LOL. And just how do you propose to change the hearts and minds of our enemies, the liberal, socialist left? Isn’t that what Bush was trying to do for 8 years?
You sort of make a point in that the style is reminiscent of Code Pink. But what is interesting and different is that Code Pink depicts lies and exaggerations and what was being depicted here is an accurate representation of what is happening to human lives and is real and true. But an interesting thing to think about - what style is effective and what is not.
I'm sorry but your way has already been tried for over 40 years...and it hasn't changed a thing.
I don't buy the sweetness and denial approach any longer. It's time to get loud and real.
No one benefits from ignoring the gruesomeness of abortion. If people are concerned about the children...then don't take them to an abortion protest.
“It just turns people off,”
BDS turned people off, but it still won them the election. When people see genuine outrage, they think maybe there’s something to be outraged about.
Plus, taking abortion to the streets is causing a massive culture shift with regards to its acceptability.
I fully agree with you on that one, Jenny.
I’m sorry, but I think that kind of stuff isn’t useful at all. It just turns people off, rather than changing hearts and minds.
I used to think this way too, and tend to waffle a bit, still. I think it’s nice to see the lefties get the same treatment thrown back at them for a change.
It is what worked for code pink and think how screwed up they are.
This type of tactic is taken right from their own playbook and it seems to work pretty well.
We need to do more because our old tactics got us pushed right into a fascist regime.
