President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the following morning.

My post is reference to those who pray for his success. You are free to pray for anyone you want.
All people, no matter how evil have a soul. And we ought not dare condemn any in our hearts. Next to God's standard we are all pretty evil.
We should oppose his agenda by all means. But though I sympathize, we must ought not dare to condemn someone's very soul in our hearts.
Well, we aren’t a Christian nation, according to Zero.
Besides, why waste an opportunity to diss Shirley Dobson?
Per the article, Robert Gibbs said that the President will pray privately, like he does every does.
Five times, no doubt.
Some national leader we got this time.
The uneasiness about him has given way to the inability to dismiss any longer the fact that this man hates this country and its Christian heritage and its “values”.
We have anti American President, and he proves it more, day by day.
A day to choose is coming. America or Zero. Which will America choose?
I pray it makes the right choice.
Rule?? Is he King Obama now?
I guess you are right, he acts like one. He has control of the Senate and the House, so he can do whatever he wants.
To his and our demise......
Is that chap at Notre Dame still insisting on having Duh 0 speak at commencement and get an honorary degree???
Why does this not surprise me in the least? It also won’t shock those faithful Christian leaders who consider the National Day of Prayer so very important. I think most of them were kind of expecting this anyway...
**not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the following morning.**
Any thoughts?
He’s a flaming hypocrite to accept Notre Dame’s invitation but refuse to attend a prayer breakfast.
It just reinforces the impression that Christianity to Zero is like a Crucifix to Dracula. Except at ND of course which apparently has lost it’s Christian character.
I have to laugh, he is crashing Notre Dame where he is unwanted, yet skips a prayer breakfast? makes no sense to me.
I think that Obama wants to distance himself from any talk of reliegion. Especially as many Americans view him negatively as a Muslim. Sounds purely political to me.
I always ask forgiveness for our having put this man in office in the first place and for God to be merciful to us and not allow Obama’s socialist agenda to succeed. As for the man himself...I don’t wish him ill, but I can’t go there to pray for his success or sudden enlightenment. I think he’s too arrogant and seems to do many things to push God out of the picture. It’s a struggle.
Flaming hypocrite indeed!
I wish he would distance himself from Notre Dame too.
I pray for obamas salvation, and that our country would return to the right path. I also pray that God’s will be done. He can use even this administration for good, as impossible as that seems. I am not perfect by any means, but once you start to pray for your enemies, it gets easier with practice.
God did not say it would be easy to pray for our enemies, just that we should do it. We need to support each other when we are faithful to God’s work, not belittle those that attempt to follow it (that is not directed at you). God will honor your efforts to do as He commands!
It’s ok. Non-believers shouldn’t go to Christian events anyway. Now, who were the ones insisting that he’s a Christian?
Its the honorary degree that really bothers me.
He doesn’t want to offend his Muslum brothers.
