Good evening, SoCalPol....handling all that air traffic would be lot of flights.
Oh, you had the chance to spoil her when she lived with you guys. I am envious!
Getting to see my Piper 3-4 times a year, and less than that after August has put a crimp in my Grammy privilege! LOL!
Love the “bulldog” patch.
*HUG*
I’ve had better days, pain wise, but thank you for asking Ma.
Tomorrow, the Maine PGR is going on an Honor Mission for a
Navy Vet whose remains have been unclaimed for 11 years.
We will be attending his funeral as his “family”, so that he is not laid to rest alone.
The MFDA has completed their inventory of Funeral Homes for Veterans Cremains, ( I think I mentioned this to you last fall), and they have located one Vets Cremains. The Cremains have been in a Bangor, Maine funeral home for the past 11 years.
It is Joseph A. Poirier, he was in the US Navy from 1948-1950, he was Honorably Discharged, he then worked as a custodian in a Bangor School for a few year, and he was born in Rumford Maine. The Portland Press and Sunday Telegram is going to cover the story this sunday.
Mrs Belanger says a burial will take place at the Maine Veterans Cemetary in Augusta on Tuesday April 28th at 1pm,
Attempts to locate any family members were not successful, the funeral home where the cremains were said all were deceased. The Wreaths Accross America is sending a Wreath, Mr Poirier was Roman Catholic, no priest is aviliable for the service so a Decon will preform it.
The good news, is that no other Vets’ remains are sitting on a shelf unclaimed and forgotten.
The other good news, is that my work actually agreed to tweak my hours abit, so that I can attend this with Miriam, and the rest of the PGR.

Will be thinking of you (and praying) during the funeral tomorrow. Thanks for doing this.
lauren takes us on good trips. I’ll bet she’s ready to relax.
Thank you, Perky!
It is my honor and pleasure to do it!
How are you holding up?

Thank you for being there for those who have been lost....and now found!
Woohoo....you get to go!!!
*HUG*
It’s my (our) honor to do it, Sis!
Amazing, huh?
I still have to work, and time will be tight, but I’ll manage it.
Kind of eerie that your post 66 came right after my post 64!
Both posts about the same kind of thing!
I know.....thank Mr. B and Miriam for me, too!
