Just like China — the fuhrer certainly can see the one place he can’t control.
Until now.

Well isn’t that special? I wonder what would constitute an emergency: say, thousands of people going to the streets and protesting an expansive government?!

And remember, when W wanted to monitor the phone calls of known terrorists, he was a “fascist tyrant.”

I have it on the best of authority on another FR thread that McCain would have been just as bad.

Yes, but does it touch your library card ... I am sure those useless progressives will get right on it.
Big Government sucks, Republican or Democrat both flavors suck.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W. Va, who introduced the bill earlier this month.....A spokeswoman from Rockefeller’s office said neither he nor the two senators who co-sponsored the bill, Olympia Snow, R-Maine, and Bill Nelson, D-Fla., will answer questions on cybersecurity at a later date.

why am I not surprised
I said they would do this, go after talk radio, then guns and then questioning the Govt.
We are at war with the left, even the homeland defence has said we are terrorists.
the surveillance is not about listening to Islamic nutters but instead they are listening to us now.
Please tell me there is at least one patriot in the Govt who can come out and make their agenda publicly.
This is , has got out of hand now

hhhmmmm...grassroots movement being helped by Internet....threat to U.S. security....shut down Internet.
Pony Express may still work....oh wait..no animals on the interstate. Carrier pigeons might work...oh wait...pooping pigeons could contribute to Global warming...shoot pigeons...can't do that...no guns allowed (or ammo, either will work.)
Goal??? Put Americans in a cage, just big enough for enough movement that work can still be done and money can be extracted for one Beast of a gov. with an insatiable appetite!!!

Anyone remember how to set up a BBS? Packet switched radio network? How much data can be sent over a modified FRS/GPRS radio? Without even gisting the article seems these questions may become pertinent on the title alone.
