CONGRATULATIONS! We are now up to ALL 50 states plus D.C., 485 cities, and can document no less than 602,000 and as many as 680,000 patriots took place in the greatest grass roots act of defiance since 1773!
EVERY state in the Union protested Washington D.C.'s tax and spend scheme.
You can check to see if your tea party is listed HERE if not, post a comment on this thread citing the city, state and headcount.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Please take Gt Barrington, MA off the list
1,100 can not be verified - especially in a town of 2,367[2007] No newspaper accounts or taxdayteaparty sign up.
Besides, the town is full of moonbats!
Largest party in Berkshire County MA was Pittsfield - 150
I did, and and I wasn’t alone. (left that is) Was there for an appointment, which I left early to make. I am admittedly not good at crowd estimates though.
Tallahassee’s Fl. Tax Day Tea Party estimated at 1,500!!
500 more than previously reported. WCTV.TV reports http://www.wctv.tv/news/headlines/43080287.html
I cannot verify it either, thanks. I have no doubt that between the surrounding towns that didn’t want to go to pittsfield,
Anyway, probably should be taken off, as I cannot substanciate it. Thanks for helping look librarian.they can come up with that, but I see nothing reported on at all. NOTHING! Still looking.
Thanks for helping look!!
OK, sounds reasonable. Again, I’d rather be short a few than claim too many.
Clarksville TN rally at Fairgrounds Park estimated at 500.
Reported by The Leaf Cronicle http://www.theleafchronicle.com/article/20090416/NEWS01/904160307
Greenville , SC second Tea Party 4/17/09. Greenville Police Dept estimate is 10,000.
I’m still looking too, I can’t find anything - I’m even on WBCR’s website now -they are useless -lol
With Pittsfield at 150 I can’t see Gt Barrington being that high without some sort of info on the net somewhere.
Pittsfield population at over 45,000 and Gt Barrington at just over 2,000 - it doesn’t make sense-that’s 1/2 the pop.
Defiance, OH - 175
Emporia, KS - 150
Fremont, OH - 100

Is it possible they just had it in Gt Barrington because of a nice venue, and maybe there was some entertainment that drew in folks from all around? Sounds like THAT would have made the news.
"Between 500 and 1,000 people rallied on Saturday at Depot Park in Kalispell as part of the Flathead Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party is the inspiration for the modern day demonstration and event organizers tell us the rally was a non-partisan and peaceful." -Angela Monroe, KAJ TV
HOWEVER, this compilation is looking for substantiated events. Therefore, Great Barrington shouldn't be counted. Just as we know many of the tea parties had people come and go, we don't need to count every single event or person who attended one, in order to get a reasonably good estimate. We know, or at least I do, that the general estimate arrived at by this thread will probably be a bit low, but it will be close
Tea Party at Hopkins Green Lexington Virginia -100

Marble Falls, TX - 1,000+ Protesters fill Lakeside Park for Marble Falls Tax Day Tea Party
San Angelo, TX - 2,000+ San Angeloans throw a TEA Party on Tax Day Article says "hundreds" but commenters call them out saying there were 2,000 and 12 protesters -- I'm sure the media would have reported "thousands" if it had been a dhimmirat protest.
San Marcos, TX - 90 Tea party comes to courthouse square
The astorturfers are out in force trying to downplay the numbers. I have seen reports of over 1,000 rallies across the country. 750,000 is a very conservative number based on the success at so many larger cities. And there are still numerous cities and counties just in Texas that had events scheduled where I have been unable to find a confirmed count. Keep digging, don't let the liberals low ball our numbers!
