I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.
I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.
Please give the location and number of participants.
I'll go first:
Melbourne, FL - 1000.
Billings, Montana—article just says “hundreds”—200-400 people

You can check to see if your tea party is listed HERE if not, post a comment on this thread citing the city, state and headcount.
Port Huron, Michigan 1327 people according to the organizers and reported in the Times Herald.

I’ve been searching the internet for local media reports. I usually start by checking to see if the town has a local paper. For example, google “Martisburg, WV newspaper.” You can also google the town name and “tea party.” There are also sites that list all newspapers in a state by town and title.
Thanks for the photos of the Clear Lake protest. I believe the Clear Lake park had to be one of the most scenic protest locations.
Abingdon, Virginia 24211, unk headcount I wasn’t there. I am certain the local paper(weekly) or Bristol Herald Courier would have covered it or given a headcount. Do you have some cut off for counting small cities and towns?

Local radio station said 700 people attended the event.
Please add to the list if not already on it. Thanks
