I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.
I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.
Please give the location and number of participants.
I'll go first:
Melbourne, FL - 1000.

I just talked to my mom who said Rogers, Arkansas had at about 500 people in the park. She was amazed.

Little Rock, AR: Estimates of 500-700, based on my own & some others' perspectives.
Held from 3:45-6:00pm.
One Lib sympathizer showed up, but had nothing substantive on any of his signs. He gave up & left!!

KVOR was reporting “thousands.”
I’m not sure how big it was, as I had to work up the mountain and couldn’t join the protest. :(

There were several around Kansas City MO today. The one downtown on the lawn of the Liberty Memorial was estimated at 4,000. There was another on the Lees Summit (suburb of KC) city hall steps estimated at 300. I’m not sure about the one in Johnson County.

Did you get San Francisco? I didn’t go, but I hear between 250-500.
After the SF Rally groups apparently went to exit ramps to demonstrate locally. I saw a group as I took the Tiburon exit to pick up my kids from horse camp. Hoping the make up for my lack of participation in SF, I asked the kids do you want to stop and help out for a while? They said yes, so out we went and the five of us joined the five of them. It was a very positive experience and I am glad to have been a small part of it.

Springfield, Missouri - 450 - 500. The rally was actually in two groups - about 250 individuals lined a two block stretch of a busy street with their signs. Lots of horns honking and thumbs up by passing motorists. The rest gathered at an outdoor stage for speeches.
One of the women that helped organize the event began by singing the National Anthem......after a few bars, several more joined in then the entire group began singing along. Great!
Another Tea Party is scheduled for Saturday noon at Fassnight Park in Springfield.
