>>Exactly. Tell the world what went down, and those tactics probaby won’t work nex time.
I think we need to give enough info out so that pirates would be very, very afraid to go after US vessels again.

Wonderful News!
We need to hunt down the surviving pirate and deal with him too.

I would have thought that the the same White House staff of chefs who prepare huge state dinners for all kinds of different nationalities could whip up a freakin’ pizza with no sweat.
I think flying in Guido from the Chicago ‘hood was a “because I can” moment.

I agree. I wasn’t really calling for it, just knowing that it will happen. Obama is too vain.

I think there is some truth to that.

Time was our ally. When we got enough resources in the area we just flooded the zone (to use a b-ball term) too many things for the pirates to watch. Horse sh**! The Captain jumped overboard, otherwise he would still be floating his butt to Somalia in the life boat! The Bozo didn't release the Navy, the Seals acted after he jumper out of the boat. Time was not our ally because this time tomorrow the pirates would have made landfall.

The details are years away if ever. Of course the Captain continually seeking escape from a boat in the Ocean should surely give him and his rescuers quite high praise and reward from the Navy.
To: wagglebee
We need to hunt down the surviving pirate and deal with him too. He should be easy to find. He was on Bainbridge, negotiating. Which is why he is still alive.

CORRECTION!: (Please, oh please, Captain, do NOT include Oprah, the View, Maddow or Obermann on the interview circuit.) I agreed with the uncorrected version.
Can you imagine Oprah's face with the Captain telling her the truth about these people? Even I would watch her show to see him take her down a peg or two.

It was mentioned that the 4th pirate was on the navy ship negotiating. How did he get on that ship?

It looks to me like the captain did what he had to do to stay alive. Looks like Phillips precipitated the action by jumping out of the boat again. Loitering Navy Seals saw this and removed the pirates. I don't think we can depend on other hostages to be as brave next time.

"Many of our posters sound just like the idiots over at DU every time things went right for a republican." I agree, it's unbelievable. Griping about how it, "took too long", instead of focusing on the objective. The safe rescue of the pilot was the objective.

Captain Phillips deserves at least half, if not the bulk of the credit.
The “average” man would have resigned himself to situation and would have waited for events to unfold. This man put his life on the line to save others and eventually himself.
Huzzah!
