"The percentage of self-identified Christians has fallen 10 points in the past two decades. How that statistic explains who we are nowand what, as a nation, we are about to become."

Relax, people! Psalm 2 has it all covered.
Thanks for the ping!
This happens every year: TV is replete with all of the liberal religious pundits “proving” that Jesus wasn’t divine, that we don’t understand the Bible, and the Exodus never happened.
The only part of God's elect that can even be temporarily deceived is Israel (Romans 11) and that only to accomplish "the fullness of the Gentiles." But "Strong Delusion" is prescribed for the rest of the world. Obama's election is, IMO, a precursor of that.
I am a Christian GGG.
I know you find it hard to accept that most Christian denominations have no problem with acceptance of the theory of evolution.
You belong to a small subset of Christianity, yet wish to claim that anybody who doesn’t believe the same illogical interpretation of the Bible as you is an Atheist.
It is people like you who drive people away from Jesus the Christ by insisting that they check their brain at the door.
“The truth of our faith becomes a matter of ridicule among the infidels if any Christian, not gifted with the necessary scientific learning, presents as dogma what scientific scrutiny shows to be false.”
Saint Thomas Aquinas
==You belong to a small subset of Christianity, yet wish to claim that anybody who doesnt believe the same illogical interpretation of the Bible as you is an Atheist.
We are in the majority in America. Your brand of old-earth compromise is in the majority in post-Christian Europe.
Just as those who interpreted the Bible to mean the Sun circled the Earth “compromised” their interpretation in light of gravitational reality.
Just as those who interpreted the Bible to mean that the value of Pi is three “compromised” their interpretation in light of mathematical reality.
Just as those who interpreted the Bible to mean that the Earth was flat with four corners “compromised” their interpretation in light of the reality of a spherical Earth.
And Young Earth Creationism is not the majority view of Americans.
As of 2008 a Gallup poll indicated that 50% of US adults agreed with the statement “human beings developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life.” Whereas 44% of US adults agreed with the statement “God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years.”[
No, you compromise your interpretation based on the latest whim of the Temple of Darwin.
==Just as those who interpreted the Bible to mean the Sun circled the Earth compromised their interpretation in light of gravitational reality.
The Church got in trouble on that one because they compromised with the Temple of Materialism of their day, namely Ptolemy, Aristotle, etc.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about.
From Gallop
Which of the following statements comes closest to your views on the origin and development of human beings -- [ROTATE 1-3/3-1: 1) Human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God guided this process, 2) Human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God had no part in this process, 3) God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years or so]?

And that's a nationwide poll. The numbers go way up when you limit the study to regular church attenders. |
Once again the things you source do NOT back your contention.
Young Earth Creationism is NOT the majority view as you claimed.
Moreover, when you differentiate by education level, it becomes obvious that the less educated you are the more likely you are to believe in Creationism.
Creationism depends upon ignorance.
Evolution depends upon ignorance of science and a lack of faith in God’s word. In other words, you are in really bad shape, Allmendream.
Do you think the Pope lacks faith in God's word because he also doesn't subscribe to your MINORITY view on the age of the Earth?
