Bernard, you are so right. If last summer I had said that the president would give DVDs and iPods as gifts, democrats would have accused me of exaggerating his inexperience and making up some ridiculous example in order to win an election. And probably called me racist as well.

I haven't checked this morning what he's done in the Czech Republic, but I am sure I won't be happy.

You're critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley , 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray , Vietnam .  Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.

You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you're not getting out. Your family is 1/2 way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.
    Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.
    Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.
    He's coming anyway.
    And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board.
    Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the Doctors and Nurses.
    And, he kept coming back.... 13 more times..... And took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.
    Medal of Honor Recipient , Ed Freeman , died last Wednesday at the age of 80, in Boise , ID ......May God rest his soul.....

My tin-foil hat therapy is that Barack Obama is already looking past the next campaign, and after his 4 years are up and he loses the election in 2012, he wants to be the next Dixie Chick.

Sadly, I think it does work for his supporters. Think of all the union members and retirees in Michigan, whose support of Democrats and spending beyond their means has helped make Michigan what it is today. Those people will vote 90% Democrat, regardless of what Obama does to them.

Harwood is DISGUSTINGLY UNPROFESSIONAL. You should see him gush and excuse for Obama on CNBC. He is a complete joke. Essentially when he speaks it is bathroom time because he is not saying anything relavent or asking anything relavent.

Harwood confuses defending the first amendment with not using the first amendment. Pathetic.

So encouraging to know, we have a USA President ...campaigning in Europe, for almost a week now, to become President of the EU !!

They love him in Europe because he is such a SOCIALIST...just plain and simple !!

And Mrs. Obama appears to have become ....the USA version of the new and improved Carla !!

I am just waiting to see how he and his wife behave with other head of States and Prime Ministers to see if it is a general pattern of giving bad gifts and ignoring protocol or whether he has just singled out my country for this treatment.

The more the media tries to make her into Jackie Kennedy, the more I dislike her.

Last night on Geraldo's show Judith Miller actually said "President Obama has become the man who accompanied Michelle to Paris."

For those of you who are younger, this was the phrase President Kennedy used about Jackie in Paris, because she was so popular with the French. (Jackie wore Dior and Balenciaga and actually SPOKE French.)
