Our pancakes are very flat and cooked in a skillet on top
of the stove. Your Yorkshire puddng looks baked. I hope I
get to go to England some day and have some!...maybe even
with you! :D

Correct pancakes are flat but if you use all purpose flour without any rising agent and have the mixture slightly thinner, and half milk half water and cook in the oven in hot oil the mixture will rise like this.

Another traditional dish of ours made with this batter is toad in the hole which is a large Yorkshire pudding in a batter pan or oblong casserole dish with sausages.
