As we enter April 2009 we are being bombarded by the media hyping up the first 100 days of President Obama I thought it would be nice to look back at the first 100 days of George W Bush Presidency.
The White House Website for the Bush Administration had a photo essay for the first 100 days which I am sure will provoke fond memories.
At the weekend I will post photos covering the first 2 weeks of April 2001 which once again I am sure will make us all feel nostalgic for the President we supported, respected and trusted to keep us safe for the last 8 years. Later this month I will post photos from the second half of Aril 2001 plus a selection of other photos that I am sure will be breath of fresh air and produce fond memories.
First of all before the photos I will post the text of remarks that George W Bush made at a Congressional Luncheon marking the first 100 days of the Bush Adminstration - ah those were the days.
I will also post some photos I have found of the Bush family for March 2009 including some of the former First Lady.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
I am fine thanks, dad had a slight setback but hopefully it will clear up over the weekend.

Thanks and as always thanks for the links and info you have posted.
An appropriate hug
I reallky miss having them in the WH.
They brought class and style to the place and would never have been disrrespectful towards The Queen or any other foriegn leader.
I'm sorry to heard of your dad's relapse, hope he gets to feeling better by Easter :o)
Good to "see" you again.
He's an ebarassment!
Did you see hoe he bowed to the Saudi PM and kissed his ring?
What were the voters thinking on November 4 2008?
I Miss W!
They have blamed the Bush administration for his gaffes in Europe. They said they weren’t informed well enough on foreign protocol!
Typical and lies I am certain regardless of who is President there are permanent staff responsible for collating such information and briefing the President.
They are a bunch of snooty snobs who are ignoramouses!
I don't KNOW this, but I would assume the same thing too. That leads to the question “Why wouldn't they listen to the person in charge of briefing either the president or first lady?” Were the One and the Other One too arrogant to listen, didn't want to listen, or just wanted to stick their finger in the eye of their European host?? They will be going to Indonesia next. It will be interesting to compare what they gave the Queen and Prime Minister and what they give the Saudi Prince.
Thanks for Your replies including the trio of punctuation smilies!!!!
