As usual Thomas Sowell hit the nail square on the head

A kid working at McDonald’s has produced more wealth and understands business better than the empty suit. It’s an insane world when the media successfully hanged the word ‘inexperience’ upon the GOP VP candidate, when the main democrat is more inexperienced than just about anyone.

He sure is. Obama will always be a rookie, in that, he will never learn to be a leader, nor anything else. All he has is hope, and hope gets you nothing, unless you have the brains to do more than just hope, which O doesn't.

This whole administration reminds me of the Kucinich fiasco here in Cleveland back in the 70s . . . total incompetents, childish, ignorant, amateurish, unprofessional, kids, totally out of touch with reality, dangerous, and stupid, right from the top down. What a gaggle of goof balls, and we have them in, of all places, the White House!!!! Just incredible!

Somebody in the Dummycrat Party has GOT TO BE EMBARRASSED AND ASHAMED!!!!!

“As usual Thomas Sowell hit the nail square on the head”

Almost. What I don’t agree with is the idea it’s a series of “rookie errors.” I think he is far more in control of his agenda than we want to believe. I maintain the amount of frenzy we’re seeing on the political and economic fronts is designed to keep the common rubes’ little minds busy with the movements of one hand, while the dark and nefarious stuff is done by the other, unseen hand.

it is not just that he has never been president before. He has never had any position of major executive responsibility in any kind of organization where he was personally responsible for the outcome.

FWIW, exactly the same could be said of Mr. Lincoln. Prior to being elected president, he'd never run any organization other than a couple of comprehensively failed business ventures in his youth.

It is generally admitted, even by those who despise him, that he is the most effective politician in American history.

Obama voted for the TARP - it failed. He pushed auto bailout for GM - it failed. He pushed his stimulus plan - the economy continues to fail.

He should be ashamed of himself. He needs to resign and return his income since taking the job.....or have it taxed at 90%.

Sowell just tells it like it is.

Obama's a real rookie and makes rookie mistakes-check.

Obama reassured Iran we will not oppose their nuclear ambitions in the State of the Union speech-check.

Obama is making a mistake by snubbing our allies-check.

Obama's first call was to Hamas. I had not heard this. I thought it was to Fatah.

Someone once said that, for every rookie you have on your starting team in the National Football League, you will lose a game. Somewhere, at some time during the season, a rookie will make a mistake that will cost you a game.

And with the veteran players being the likes of Biden and Hillary, the executive branch is now the equivalent of the Detroit Lions.

Barack Obama is a rookie in a sense that few other presidents in American history have ever been.

The kid on our paper route has more business experience than O'Bambi.

As much as I respect Thomas Sowell, and it is a lot, I have to say he is going for the fake. While he and others talk about these rookie mistakes and all, Obama has effectively seized personal control of the auto industry, and de facto the banking industry, and the energy industry is next.

Our democratic republican form of government is being subverted and dismantled in a silent leftwing coup d'etat, and no one is willing to say it out loud.

The infrastructure of 220+ years of hard-won freedom and human rights is being desecrated and destroyed and no one seems to be outraged by this.

We have an alien tin horn dictator in the making who would do the latin banana republics proud, yet no one seems to question why this man is still in the White House and not in the dock. Or headed for prison, maximum security..

"Barack Obama is following a long practice among those on the left of being hard on our allies and soft on our enemies."

I despise the stupidity of the above "strategy" most particularly. Such asses!

Much like my idol Milton Friedman, Sowell does a great job of using analogies to make the abstract and complicated world of economics and politics simple.

It really is simple. Politicians and Economists have no idea what they are talking about. It’s all a behavioral science guessing game.

The difference is that conservatives like us understand that our fellow citizens in Gubmint are as retarded and flawed as we are. Liberals and leftists put all their faith and trust in them and want to give them more power over them.

Yet another lawyer with tired leftist views, old to America as “Change”. That has got to be one of the greatist marketing coups in world history.

I don’t suppose we’ll get lucky and his 12 traveling teleprompters won’t work on the UK electrical system... I’m curious, did George Bush travel with teleprompters? TWELVE teleprompters?
