During a segment on Fridays Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull program, CNN tried to perpetuate left-wing stereotypes about gun owners, and sent mixed messages about whether or not President Obama and his administration is pushing for gun control. Correspondent Sean Callebs interviewed two Texas professionals who owned guns and concluded, A nurse, an attorney -- not the usual portrait of Second Amendment diehards. After asking a gun store owner if he was profiting on this fear of new gun control measures, Callebs expounded on the concerns of gun owners: In fact, it may not be rational at all. It might even be paranoid. But one thing is certain. Many gun owners believe this president is somehow out to curb their rights and theyre stocking up just in case.
Both Callebs and CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin tried to assure their viewers that gun control was way off the agenda right now of the Obama administration, despite the fact that a graphic on the news crawl stated plainly that President Obama wants to make expired Assault Weapons Ban permanent.
The CNN correspondent traveled to Tyler, Texas, one of those places all over America where a kind of quiet call to arms is getting louder and louder, as he put it. Besides interviewing the lawyer and the nurse, he visited a local gun store, where he skeptically asked one of the employees of the store, Why would someone own a semiautomatic weapon like this? I mean, is saying its my right, is that enough?

Well said, indeed.
That's hilarious.
Brought to you by this man:
Why would CNN run bunk like this?
“I mean, is saying ‘its my right’, is that enough?
Those who choose not to understand what the second amendment means do not deserve the protections of the first amendment.
Ask the foolish, ignorant bastard if he can describe what a “semi-automatic” is,
and you’ll either get a dumbfounded look,
a redirection and attack on you personally,
or a definition of “select-fire”.
My BIL asked almost the same question on time in a discussion, and I asked him for his understanding of “semi-automatic”, and knowing he was trapped, admitted he didn’t know.
And it's not just gun rights that we believe he's "out to curb."
Prov 26:4-5
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
Or you will also be like him.
5 Answer a fool as his folly deserves,
That he not be wise in his own eyes.
Stating, don’t accept the premises of a fool,
but answer him as his foolishness deserves.
Not necessarily because of “mandatory markers”...
people are stocking up because they see this gov’t pushing past that “too far” point.
I’m convinced that the state run medias think we believe them.
Well, the ones that voted zero in must.
Many stores are sold out because folks are stocking up in anticipation of the mandatory markers.
____________
pssst, go to gun shows, read the gun forums, go to gun shops and listen to what people are saying.... that is NOT the reason they are stocking up. Many fully expect to have to use those guns to protect themselves in the near future.
The reality is that well never see another truly free, open and honest election in this country until after the next American Civil War. And the America we’ll have after that won’t be the America we started with - for good or for ill. It was always and ever up to us.
_______________
You are 100% correct. Our forefathers said it and you just said it again.
I've been investing in 'semi-precious' metal for years.
What a waste of air. Yes, nitwit, that is exactly what having a "right" means. Exactly.
>Why would somebody murder their child? Because the Supreme Court invented that right?
Well, that’s what the abortionists say: “It’s our right!!”
Asking “is this a right?” is different from asking “how can this be a right if I have to explain myself?”
For example you have the right to ascribe to any religion you wish; people may ask you why (for an explanation), but that does not negate that right, nor does it oblige you to answer them.
>Ask the foolish, ignorant bastard if he can describe what a semi-automatic is
My def: Simply a 1-to-1 correspondence of trigger-pull to fire without manual intervention as long as there is ammunition fed/loaded.
Most handguns are semi-automatic, and if you apply the definition I gave revolvers are semi-automatic as well.
Of course that’s the definition of “semi-automatic” from an informed person.
But for those that are ignorant, or worse, intentionally dishonest,
they are trying to imply that these are machine guns in waiting, just flip a switch.
