CNN: Even With Obama Gun Control Agenda, Gun Owners 'Might Even Be Paranoid'

During a segment on Friday’s Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull program, CNN tried to perpetuate left-wing stereotypes about gun owners, and sent mixed messages about whether or not President Obama and his administration is pushing for gun control. Correspondent Sean Callebs interviewed two Texas professionals who owned guns and concluded, “A nurse, an attorney -- not the usual portrait of Second Amendment diehards.” After asking a gun store owner if he was “profiting on this fear” of new gun control measures, Callebs expounded on the concerns of gun owners: “In fact, it may not be rational at all. It might even be paranoid. But one thing is certain. Many gun owners believe this president is somehow out to curb their rights and they’re stocking up just in case.”

Both Callebs and CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin tried to assure their viewers that gun control was “way off the agenda right now” of the Obama administration, despite the fact that a graphic on the news crawl stated plainly that President Obama “wants to make expired Assault Weapons Ban permanent.”

The CNN correspondent traveled to Tyler, Texas, “one of those places all over America where a kind of quiet call to arms is getting louder and louder,” as he put it. Besides interviewing the lawyer and the nurse, he visited a local gun store, where he skeptically asked one of the employees of the store, “Why would someone own a semiautomatic weapon like this? I mean, is saying it’s my right, is that enough?”

Call me paranoid but I still own guns and plan to keep them..I have owned guns for years and no one will take them away from me..every member of my family own guns none of us have ever been arrested for killing or shooting someone..Yeah i am paranoid when it comes to the clowns we have in Washington..As a matter a fact I along with husband will be going to the rang this Wednesday to practice..I advise everyone to get a gun except for criminals..but make sure you know how to use it and care for it..

Do they need to be reminded that the 2nd isn't about target practice, competition and or rich mans trophy hunt safari ? As to the comment on typical Second Amendment backers etc .....the MSM chooses representatives to further their agenda. That has been a proven FACT for decades ! It's about making sure the foundations of the constitution , our republic (shock , we're not a democracy ) and American traditions and values of being free remain that way regardless of tyrannical forms of government (see Nov 4th 2008) that bribe the silly sheeple voters and gain power.....

Aside the AWB is about cosmetics not weaponry ......black, plastic, clone look alike of select fire military issue weapons etc .....

Criminals didn't follow laws yesterday and they won't tomorrow. That alone is why this socialist and his handlers will not get my firearm.

Even if they pass this AWB ....I can wait till adults are back in charge and revoke it .......AGAIN !

Throw the question back at the person who asked it. For instance:

"Why shouldn't I own a weapon like an AR-15? You seem to have an opinion. You tell me."

"Why would my rights disappear when it comes to firearms that look different from hunting rifles?"

Yeah, I want to know about this too. This hasn’t be proposed in the US congress and shot down EVERYWHERE at the local and state levels.

Besides, I like shooting, it’s fun, and some of us think that when the SHTF, I just might need these tools to protect myself.
