I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

Well now we get to the heart of the matter. Not only is your hand empty as far as have anything that can actually support your claims that folks are misrepresenting the LDS, you want to suppress those who are exposing the truth.
Hum, so much for the whole "Mormons are great conservatives" meme then, since the suppression of the right to Free Speech is one of the least Conservative of stances...
Quite simple EJ, in order to correct the errors, I would have to speak about sacred things. Was that hard to figure out?

Your alleged experiences are pretty far from any reality that I have ever experienced. And frankly quite hard to fathom.
Rather than trying to ferret through all the competing views & doctrines, trying to decide who had the truth, I went to the author of all this & asked Him. The experience was rewarding, exact, & without doubt.
It's not hard to believe that you were totally deceived...but I'd wager that you had help from someone. A friend, a family member, a mentor whispering in your ear.....perhaps?
So, thank you for the offer, but I had already taken up that offer from the Lord, as He asked us to in the Bible. My answer was as deep & profound as one would expect from an answer from the Lord. He promised it would be. I no longer had to rely solely on my own intellect & rational for the answers in a very imperfect world. My creator spoke to me. I will be forever indebted to Him for that.
Your previous posts lead me to very much question your understanding of the Bible..and how God speaks to us.
I also wonder how you studied the Bible....It doesn't appear as if you studied it very hard. As there are CLEAR warnings, and admonitions about what you are currently involved in.......

I would venture to say that at the time the order was entered, it was a very accurate reflection of the reality of certain Mormon secret cerimonies. It is my understanding that there have been a few modifications after certain "procedures" became widely known outside the Mormon church.

When I was in the military, I could see how it could be a useful tool, but as a Christian speaking about an others Church, I believe it to be wrong.
