I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

First you say that Sentinel's current experience is not based on “reality”, then say he is speaking of “Sacred Things” that cause you to withdraw with a level of indignation reserved for one whose secrets are about to be more fully exposed.
So exactly how is Sentinel's current experience not based in reality if he has hit so close to the mark to cause such a reaction by you?

Either you believe in the God and Christ of the bible and the revealed Plan of Salvation that is in it or you do not. Peter's affirmation of Who Christ was and is, is the defining testimony of whom a Christian is.

As far as Greg West having a jihad against FR, I have not seen it.
I have seen him show anger at the ease the hard-core-anti-Mormons have at repeating their uncorrected claims.

You believe that your god is not the God revealed to us in the bible. You believe that your god was once a man who "attained" Godhood. Since your theology is at odds with the theology of both the Old and New Testament, you (Mormons)decided that you need to dismiss God's Word as "corrupt" although God promised to never let His Word see corruption.
As revealed in the bible, God is a Spirit who cannot lie, yet you (Mormons) say that God lies and is a man.
Furthermore, you cannot then believe in the revealed Plan of Salvation if the bible is "corrupt" and/or not interpreted properly. And that's just for starters.
Your posts have degenerated from surreal to pathetic.

My example is on how one poster misused one word to mislead readers about our teachings.
I see all the rest as a way to cover that fact up.
And there are a few of ya’ll that have been working hard at trying to cover up his falsehood.
And then there was the in-fighting among Christians. As bad as we LDS have it here w/ you folks, you're often as bad w/ each other when we're not around. The vitriol expressed towards fellow “Christians” was appalling. Similar to the scenario w/ the Muslims & Jews. The Muslims often state there would be peace if the Jews were annihilated. The fact is, the Muslims have had wars among themselves far more than they ever have w/ the Jews. “Christianity” has a similar history. Always will when you have competing ideas, theories, & theology w/o divine intervention.
Maybe that's why the Lord always had a prophet, His mouthpiece, to guide the early saints, & why He set up the same as He was here on earth through a prophet & apostles. But even w/ that, the Lord still instructed His people to come to Him for confirmation of truth. I heeded that call & as stated, will be forever in His debt. I was never converted by the arguments or 2 young missionaries. I was converted when I was by myself, after a great deal of study, & pondering, before the Lord asking His will.
Where things never made sense, especially w/ all the competing doctrines, things became very clear & ultimately, confirmation from the Lord was had. I no longer was reliant on the “arm of the flesh”. With nobody around, I received answers of my Father. I suspect you will castigate that or poo-poo it. That's your issue, not mine. Try it sometime w/ sincerity.
