Talk about a low blow.
Filling in for conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham, Tammy Bruce blasted First Lady Michelle Obama for comments she made during a visit to a Washington D.C. classroom last week. During that visit, the first lady recalled trying to get good grades as neighborhood kids criticized her for "talking like a white girl." In light of those remarks, Bruce made fun of Obama for her use of a "weird, fake accent," much "like Hillary did when talking to black people. What?! What is that?"
"That’s what he’s [Barack] married to," Bruce said. "…You know what we’ve got? We’ve got trash in the White House. Trash is a thing that is colorblind, it can cross all eco-socionomic, kind of a, categories. You can work on Wall Street, or you can work at the Wal-Mart. Trash, are people who use other people to get things, who patronize others, who consider you bitter and clingy."

Nonetheless, my wife who works in DC tells me that such is the daily female scuttlebutt about Michelle.
Apparently the catty chatter about her clothes, her hair, her demeanor, her everything cuts across all age groups and political persuasions. Jackie Kennedy she is not (according to wifey’s reports). She’s not even Hillary Clinton.
The funniest thing about Michelle’s visit to the classroom was Michelle asked, Do I need an introduction? All the kids said YES! I think she was shocked that they didn’t know who she was.

And so am I! It’s a match made in heaven!
The thing is, I thought what the first lady said needed to be said. Its a problem in inner city schools, has been for years, and she spoke to it.
I don’t like ad hominem attacks when they are directed at us, and I don’t like it when we do it to them.
Unless its funny, and if its funny enough, it gets a pass.
Calling someone trash isn’t an argument. There are times when its called for, but this isn’t one of them.

I don’t think that Michelle Obama is trash. She’s the product of a Chicago Machine politician and our new Messiah. Oh, and now she’s proud of our country.
Still love Tammy, even though she was a bit off on that comment.
To the poster who said he would “hit it”. First, that sounds like puerile trash. Second, Tammy is a lesbian. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that, Jerry.)
