Calling All East Texans!
http://www.etxtaxparty.synthasite.com ^ | quillizmightier

Posted on 03/23/2009 7:38:49 PM PDT by quillizmightier

East Texans: Unite to send your message of outrage to Washington on Tax Day, April 15th. At 5 pm we will gather in the Downtown Square at 203 East Pilar Street. There will be guest speakers and music and, of course, THE FURY OF THE PEOPLE.

Please visit the website at etxtaxparty.synthasite.com or email for info to etxteaparty@yahoo.com. Register so we can keep you updated. We will not be stopping at a Tea Party. The focus of our gathering will be taxes and wasteful spending but the PURPOSE of the gathering will be to find like-minded indiviuals willing to use the power of a grass-roots movement to demand the Federal Government return to its Constitutionally defined role.

The first Tea Party was here. In Ft Worth at the stockyards.
I missed it as it was a 100 mi drive, but that Tea party ignited a fire.

We need to make this thing nationally noticed come 4/15

Congress is pissing all over the constitution.
But the Tea Partys need to get on message.

We have to make people understand that although we haven’t been taxed this administration is setting us up for a Perpetual taxation with its rampant spending.

Our kids are screwed, their kids are screwed. Their grandchildren.

Geihtner is printing fiat money at an alarming rate.

The market is up 500 points today and its all smoke.
Bad times are coming if we dont react.

Barama Had his AG declare last week that Gitmo detainees can no longer be referred to as “enemy combatants” and themn in the same week, on Leno, he referred to AIG bankers as “suicide bombers” with their finger on the trigger.

The terrorist have to be coddled and the bankers are terrorists..

People in the market are going to head to the hills.

Obama is PUNISHING Capitolism and coddling ALL our enemys

Gnight. /Rant

I have been asked to keep the focus of the gathering on waste and taxation but I am absolutely in agreement that something must be done. I called a French Revolution before Glenn Beck. A lot of Texans I talk to just want to secede. I want to see our autonomy restored and I believe for the first time since the Constitution was ratified, ordinary people in the middle are taking notice that we are no longer free. The time is ripe for a Constitutional Amendment. All it would need to do is overturn Amendment 16 and clarify that the General Welfare only encompasses the specifically enumerated duties in the Articles of the document.

We can do this and I am sick of Republicans telling me ‘its too big’. F**k that. They sound like the puling wimps who whined that we might be worse off without British rule. This is the most powerful quote for our times and it graces the homepage of our Tea Party site:

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. — Samuel Adams

Amen

Looking at the website he cites indicates it’s in NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS, a bit a way from you. Still, it’d be nice if he had the courtesy to think through a good idea before posting.

I was at the Ft Worth event. Took 3 and a half hours to get there and again back.

It was worth every minute!

Nacogdoches, its the “Oldest Town in Texas.”

That's a debatable subject....there are several town that also claim that honor including San Augustine and a couple of communities in West Texas.

But hey, it looks good on the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce stuff!

Not a good idea. That’s just a good way to get arrested or shot.
