I would attend more events like this if my work schedule permitted it, I normally work Saturdays. I had taken this week off work since I was recovering from injuries sustained in an accident on my motorcycle. If it wasn't for the accident, I probably couldn't have been there, somehow things just worked out!

Orlando is hardly South Florida. Central Florida, excepting Orange County, Orlando, is relatively conservative. The crowd was polite, yet raucous. What a great time.

My apologies about placing Orlando in South Florida but as a Panhandle Floridian, anything under Tallahassee is considered south. : ) Considering McCain/Palin won my county by 73% and Obama/Biden won Orange County by 59%, from my point on the map, you all down there had a magnificent showing in what we up here consider a liberal region. You are absolutely right, of course, about your area when compared to what’s generally considered South Florida. Again, congratulations on all the hard work in Central Florida!

Thanks! Was great to get to talk to Bud and to thank Lisa for organizing the Tea Party. Also was glad I got to give our FR credit to Marci for getting FreeRepublic in on the event! We all worked as a team to get the word out about FR and bet we helped to get lots of Floridians to come on board!
I can’t take any more credit than anyone else that showed up. You are correct that we all worked as a team. I just brought the table and tried to delegate since I wasn’t sure I was going to make it. And I can’t tell you how glad I was that I was able to be there!
Apparently Channel 13 news did revise their story to update the attendence to between 5000 - 6000 people. I commented on their online story that the attendance numbers were incorrect and Michael Westfall from the station emailed me back asking for a reference on the numbers. I directed him to the City manager of the Ampitheater, per Shelly/Lisa, and OPD agreed on the numbers that actually showed up. I’m glad to hear that Michael followed through and Channel 13 corrected their numbers.
Yes, I am glad that they revised their numbers to reflect the truth! Believed they realized that too many folks knew the truth once they received calls and emails.
So happy to hear that Lisa and Shelly will be on Glenn Beck’s show tomorrow. Also that Lloyd Marcus will be doing an interview on FOX tomorrow morning at 10:30 concerning the Tea Party song he wrote. I will be sure to watch tomorrow morning and Glenn’s show tomorrow evening! :)
