Barack Obama says, "Our deficit will be cut in half within four years." After signing a $3.6 trillion budget, does anyone really believe him?
There has never been a spending elixir for getting a country out of economic crises. Let's start having an honest discussion about the economic crises, Mr. President.
Obama's claim, "If you make less than $250,000, you will not pay any additional taxes, not one cent." How about the increase in taxes on everything all consumers use because of cap-and-trade? Everybody will be affected by that. Tax hikes do not create new jobs. Disingenuous, Mr. President.
When campaigning, Obama said his initiatives would create or save 2 million jobs. Now he says he is going to be creating 5 million. Already 3.8 million have been lost and tens of thousands of layoffs are still expected in any and every industry. Be honest, Mr. President.
How about his assertion that there were no earmarks in the recently signed bill? According to most sources (including a New York Times article!), there were more than 9,000 of them worth $12.8 billion. Oh, right, these are necessary for the economy. Perhaps that one doesn't count.
Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth, but about 60 percent of people still approve of him. Perhaps people have to walk the Stepford Wives line, or they will become further depressed by their current situation.
There's no better time for Obama to push his liberal agenda than when things are in crisis.
Consumer confidence levels are at an historic all-time low. The stock market is at 1997 levels. Americans have lost trillions in all "savings" accounts. "In four years, our deficit will be double what it is today. If we're lucky."
Define "our".
