Chief Airey held the top enlisted from April 3, 1967 to July 31, 1969. During his tenure he worked to change loan establishments charging exorbitant rates outside the air base gates and to improve low retention during the Vietnam Conflict. Chief Airey also led a team that laid the foundation for the Weighted Airman Promotion System, a system that has stood the test of time and which is still in use today. He also advocated for an Air Force-level Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy. Chief Airey retired August 1, 1970. (U.S. Air Force illustration/Cyndi Smith)

I’ve been sleeping at the computer, so decided to put out the morning coffee and head for a softer bed. Still getting ready for fishing?

Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities.
Now for our local DC Metroland weather report
~ Today.....Cloudy & Cool Shower Possible South HIGHS: Mid 40s WINDS: SE 5
~ Tonight....Drizzle & Patchy Fog with Cloudy Skies LOWS: Mid 30s WINDS: SE 5
This is probably the worst time of the year for me (besides being another year older) because one day it's warm and promising spring and the next it's snowing or sleeting! I have to keep reminding myself that it won't be much longer.
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.
