Breaking (Bad) News for Ed Profs Ayers and Dohrn
National Review ^ | 3/11/2009 | Candace de Russy

Posted on 03/11/2009 6:17:48 PM PDT by markomalley

The following just in from Nancy at familysecuritymatters.org (read to the end for word of a new report concerning a "new SDS" on campuses):

In a sensational letter to be released at a March 12 National Press Club news conference, the San Francisco Police Officers Association (SFPOA) tells Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival, Inc., and FamilySecurityMatters.org contributing editor, that evidence in the 1970 bombing murder of a San Francisco police officer points to Weather Underground members Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers, two associates of President Barack Obama. The letter will be made public at a news event that will feature a former FBI informant in the Weather Underground saying that Ayers told him that Dohrn planted the bomb that killed Sergeant Brian V. McDonnell.  The informant, Larry Grathwohl, has testified under oath before the U.S. Senate about the bombing plot.

"There are irrefutable and compelling reasons to believe that Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn, members of the terrorist group 'Weather Underground' are largely responsible for the bombing of Park Police Station and other police stations throughout the United States during their 'tour of terror' in the late 1960s and early 1970s," the SFPOA letter states. The SFPOA letter is signed by all five officers of the SFPOA.

The SFPOA letter says that while “Sgt. McDonnell was the sole fatality of this heinous and cowardly act," which occurred on February 16, 1970, eight other policemen were seriously injured. "Those responsible for the cold blooded murder...and the injuries to the other officers have never been brought to justice and the case remains open," the letter notes.

"The San Francisco Police Officers' Association joins Mr. Cliff Kincaid of America's Survival, Inc. in his valiant and noble effort to urge a renewed effort by the appropriate Law Enforcement Agencies (Local, State, and Federal) to bring this case to a close and bring those responsible for the murder of Sgt. Brian McDonnell and the injuries to the other officers to the justice they have so long eluded."

In addition to releasing the letter, Jim Pera, a retired San Francisco Police Officer who was one of the first on the scene after the 1970 bombing, will describe the devastating impact of the blast. In addition, two reports on the Weather Underground will be released. They are "What was the Weather Underground?" by former Congressional investigator Herbert Romerstein, and "From Arms to Education to Political Power — the Return of the SDS and the Weather Underground," by Cliff Kincaid and internationally-renown blogger and researcher Trevor Loudon. The latter examines how members of the Weather Underground have regrouped to form a “new SDS” on college campuses.

*The News Conference will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the National Press Club, 529 14th St., N.W., 13th floor, Washington, D.C. Reservations can be made by contacting griffin@griffnews.com or by calling 703-255-2211.

“Then again, Obama would immediately pardon. Airs probably wouldn’t serve a full 6 hours before he would be released.”

If Ayers is convicted of a state offense in California, Obama couldn’t pardon him. The president’s pardon power only extends to federal offenses. Obama could pardon Ayers so that the feds can’t prosecute him for the crime, but he couldn’t do anything to stop the State of California from prosecuting Ayers under state law.

I would like to assume that SchwarzenRino wouldn’t stoop so low as to pardon Ayers, but I wouldn’t bet my life on it.

Pointless. Laws no longer mean anything.

Letters to RNC politicians are futile, they can’t do or won’t do anything.

NOTUS and his thugs are rioting in Washington and looting the country.

They are laughing at us for sitting by and waiting on the “process” to root them out. Two years or Four years, it makes no difference their destruction will be completed by then.

Didn’t BillyBoy’s pardon of them make certain they can’t be prosecuted for this crime?

"Dohrn is a professor of law, not education.

Yes, it's Ayers that is a leading respected theortician about how we should educate our children.

He's an advocate of using small specialized schools to radicalize the young. Be VERY wary of Obama's supposed support of charter schools. Ayers sees them as potential radicalization labs. That's what he was doing with the Maoist Klonsky at University of Illinois at Chicago's Small School's Workshop.

Klonsky and Ayers had an office in a small building just west of the Loop. That's where Obama got his mail while he was CEO of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

What you need is irrefutable and compelling evidence. With evidence comes an indictment. With an indictment comes a trial. From a trial could come a conviction. And a conviction will lead to jail. Anything else is meaningless to Ayers and Dohrn.

Hopefully they can be tried, convicted and placed on death row.

So what? They’ll just call in a favor from zero and get a presidential pardon, and their arses kissed by the very law enforcement people who dared insult the ones friends with facts...

IF this goes all the way through, you can bet on a pardon on Nov. 5, 2012, win or lose.

SHe’s a professor of law/education, she can not get her licence to practice which would qualify her as a professor of law. Technicality.

Laws no longer mean anything.

Laws, taxes, rules, political platforms, campaign promises.

IIRC you can’t be pardoned immediately. There has to be a certain number of years between the conviction and the pardon. Is it a minimum of five years?

Yep, I heard this on the radio last night.

The media will find some other story to report on.

Klonsky and Ayers had an office in a small building just west of the Loop, south of Adams. That's where Obama got his mail while he was CEO of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

Which was Obama's only CEO experience. The University of Chicago did an after-action evaluation of Obama's massive spending through the CAC organization:

"the Challenge had little impact on student outcomes." ...."There were no statistically significant differences between Annenberg schools and non-Annenberg schools in rates of achievement gain."

Remember that CAC spent $160 million on less than 30,000 students. Proportionately, That's like spending an EXTRA $300 billion on US education with zero results.

.....Which you can file under "Foreshadowing"

Bill Clinton pardoned OTHER members of the Weather Underground.

Despite Brack Obama’s LIE that they operated (A) in the 1960s and (B) operated when he was only 8 years old:

The Weather Underground were formed in October 1969. The waning months of the 1960s. They were a 1970s terrorist organization. The Pentagon bombing was in 1972.

They were still on the run in 1975.

Bill Clinton pardoned several members of the Weather Underground who’d robbed a bank in 1981 to fund their terrorist organization.

So Barack Hussein Obama and his handlers lie. A lot.

The most important part is the new SDS groups at colleges and universities.

They're called "faculties" now.

Ayers "got off" of the Pentagon bombing offense (although there has been no clearance, just evidence that was supposedly "illegally obtained" regarding a domestic terrorist group that was working on behalf of foreign powers in wartime.

The police murder is still an open charge with no statute of limitations. And the police unions backed Barack Obama. Idiots.

From Wikipedia:

The Justice Department recommends anyone requesting a pardon must wait five years after conviction or release prior to receiving a pardon. A presidential pardon may be granted at any time, however, and as when Ford pardoned Nixon, the pardoned person need not yet have been convicted or even formally charged with a crime. Clemency may also be granted without the filing of a formal request and even if the intended recipient has no desire to be pardoned. In the overwhelming majority of cases, however, the Pardon Attorney will consider only petitions from persons who have completed their sentences and, in addition, have demonstrated their ability to lead a responsible and productive life for a significant period after conviction or release from confinement
