Spanish prime minister Jose Luis Zapatero has reaffirmed that Spain will not recognise Kosovo as independent, newspapers in Kosovo and Serbia reported on March 10 2009.
"Spain's position on the unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence is known - it is non-recognition," Zapatero was quoted as saying by Kosovo daily Koha Ditore.
"We have maintained this position and we will continue to do so in the future."
Addressing a joint news conference on March 9, Serbian president Tadic said that his country would never recognise Kosovo, which unilaterally declared itself as independent in February 2008.
"Serbia will not give up on its territorial integrity...with legal and diplomatic means, and it will never recognise the independence of Kosovo," Tadic said.
The human rights of Serbs in Kosovo were under threat, he said.
Tadic said that Serbia was very grateful to Spain for its principled stance not to recognise Kosovo, and for its support to Serbia's EU membership candidature.
Zapatero confirmed that Spain supports Serbia's European integration.
A report by Serbia's Blic Online said that Spanish foreign minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, at a meeting with his Serbia counterpart Vuk Jeremic, spoke in favor of unblocking of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Union and Serbia.
Moratinos said Spain would continue to apply pressure so that the Netherlands made possible implementation of the SAA as well as the transitional trade agreement between the EU and Serbia.
The Netherlands has been a leader in opposing the implementation of the SAA until it is satisfied that Serbia is co-operating adequately with The Hague international tribunal on war crimes in the former Yugoslavia
Putin has foot so far up your arse that you’re tasting Kremlin shoe polish
I bet that image turns you on, after your encounter with him at that sauna in Moscow.
"Trading with" isn't kow-towing, especially when we ourselves are doing it.
Beyond that, I am more much worried about US dealing with Saudi Arabia, who is far more responsible for jihadism and evil than Iran is. Iran did not give us 9/11, the Saudis did. The Iranian Mullahs are no doubt, evil, and Iran is a pain in the ass, but I haven't read enough to speak to how I think that we need to deal with Iran. And when I don't feel that I know what I am talking about, I shut up.
As for the Balkans, rudeboy, I have never set foot in Serbia, don't speak Serbian and regard the Balkans as place that should solve its own problems without our involvement, because all we do is screw it up further. My ancestors came here to get away from all that turmoil, not to bring it with them.
I got involved in all of this because I knew what I reading in the newspapers back in the 1990's on the Balkans was complete BS. I'd studied the history of the area, and I knew that what I was seeing on CNN and in the NYT was a propaganda re-write of history and it pissed me off. And I haven't been un-pissed off about being propagandized since then, especially when that same crap started being fed to us on every other American issue!
“Talk about high horses, US pinheads went to bat for Islam in the Balkans and else where and then cried foul when they brought down the Twin Towers and started beheading Americans... yeah, that is stupid. “
Precisely. Not to mention giving legal cover the fledgling Aztlan and Dakotan Sioux states, which now have official grounding in our own State Department policies due to our Kosovo policy!
You've hit the nail on the head!
Kosovo, as horrible and wrong as it was for us to take it and give it away to Muslims, wasn't just about "Kosovo"! They can yell, "Sui Generis" (Unique) all they want, but they have set a precedent against the age-old and legal bedrock of "national sovereignty". And the globalists didn't put all that time, energy and money into accomplish it just to give Kosovo to Albanians when there was nothing in it of significance for them -- economically or politically.
My guess has long been that "the Kosovo model" is going to be used to establish a Palestinian state whether Israel likes it or not. It is what makes the most sense, especially given that the Kosovo Albanians used the same propaganda as the Palestinians to get what they wanted.
Hey, deal with reality however you wish; you've been 'PWN3D' as the kids say these days.
I wonder how many of the 9/11 bombers were on his mailing list?
I'll add that to your list of known mental limitations then.
You mean in the manner that the US kow-tows to Saudia Arabia?
Hey, where were those 9/11 bombers from anyway?
The liberators which toady Muslim scum in SS uniforms would have gladly killed, yes?
In which unit did your family serve?
The Greeks were the first classical civilization to encounter the Slavs, you dodo!!!
Actually, the American filers saved by the Serb Chetniks in WWII had been shot down while trying to bomb the oil fields at Ploesti, Romania. So they were not “liberators” of Yugoslavia.
The Serbs saved our airmen out of sacrificial Christian love, often at great cost to themselves and their families. Operation Halyard should NEVER be misused for Serb-hating propaganda.
Catalan is more closely related to Occitan (Provencal) than it is to Spanish. Didn't stop General Franco from trying to claim that it was a "dialect" of Spanish.
Albanians are a bunch of half-Turks who think they are Italian. They even come to the US and open G-D awful Pizzerias and Italian restaurants. Deport them all.
How does that explain the huge real estate bubble in Ireland and the UK?
How many American soldier have been killed by Albanians in Kosovo?
In which unit did your family serve?
Servian Volunteer Corps
Thank you for admitting your Nazi roots.
It comes as no surprise, Bonly.
That’s funny you should say that, because all I’m seeing is excuses and relativistic nonsense. Par for the course.
Surprised at how many Serbs joined the Nazis, eh since you label others Nazis? You loved the Nazis so much, Belgrade was the first Judenfrei city.
Here is your Prince with a very happy Hitler
That makes perfect sense. What makes no sense is propaganda being passed-off as the antidote to propaganda. Witness the hair-trigger tempers on this thread. People don't like getting called on their BS.
