Wikipedia users have scrubbed all references to homegrown terrorist William Ayers and the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright from Barack Obama's entry at the online encyclopedia.
Apparently, any information posted about Ayers or Wright in the text of the Obama biography is not only immediately taken down, but the offending user is banned for three days.
Such was revealed by World Net Daily moments ago:
The entire Wikipedia entry on Obama seems to be heavily promotional toward the U.S. president. It contains nearly no criticism or controversy, including appropriate mention of important issues where relevant.
For example, the current paragraph on Obama's religion contains no mention of Wright, even though Obama's association with the controversial pastor was one of the most talked about issues during the presidential campaign.
That paragraph states: "Obama explained how, through working with black churches as a community organizer while in his twenties, he came to understand 'the power of the African-American religious tradition to spur social change.' He was baptized at the Trinity United Church of Christ in 1988 and was an active member there for two decades."
Ayers is also not mentioned, even where relevant.

Wikepedia is now on my DO NOT USE LIST.
Eff them.
Wright is now a footnote under his entry under religion where it shows that was his former church. Let’s see how long that lasts.
“Think about it. Who would actually use wikapedia to look up Barack Obama? Like there isn’t enough information out there already.”
The dumb unwashed masses who doesn’t know any better.
It’s just like those who think that Snopes is a honest source of information when it comes to that pres__ent with no ID squatter in the White House.
But people like you, I and our fellow FReepers know better than to think that Snopes isn’t biased.
Also, as I recall, didn't Slojo Biden do the same thing with his Wiki bio a few years back?
Marxists hate factual history as much as free elections, n'est ce pas?
.
No doubt I've pretty much warped everybody's view of amanita muscaria and flying reindeer, but Wiki just doesn't handle those topics all that well ~ never will either.

"Their founding document [the Weather Underground's] called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonial" movements[1] to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism."..."-Berger, Dan (2006). It’s not about who would use wikipedia to look up Obama.. Wikipedia is a huge driver to results that come back on Google searches. Google weighs data from Wikipedia heavily when ordering results on searches. Still yet.. the fact that any mention of Ayers in an edit of this entry is worrisome. Soon they’ll be burning books that don’t convey their beliefs or version of history.
“In Wright [Obama] had found both a spiritual mentor and a role model.”
“Though Wright and Obama do not often talk one-on-one often, the senator does check with his pastor before making any bold political moves.”
“Obama says that Wright helps him keep his priorities straight and his moral compass calibrated.”
“What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice,” Obama said. “He’s much more of a sounding board for me...”
If a new, anonymous (meaning no account, your edits show up as your IP address) person tries to edit that Obama page out of the blue right now, it will block you. They have set it to what is called “semi-protection”, meaning that only “established users” can edit it. So it will block anonymous IP changes, and it will block you if you create an account and go right to that page and try to change it.
I read elsewhere though that there’s an easy way around this. It seems (have not tried this yet though) that what makes a new account become “confirmed” is a simple numerical edit count. Not length of time from account creation, and not quality of edits.
Want to jam the Ayers and Wright info where it rightfully belongs? Everyone reading this should make an account, via some throwaway gmail-like address to register, go edit a dozen or so articles...even simple grammar changes, edit something silly, then edit it back out. Once you have a dozen changes, go to the Obama article and it should let you edit.
Do you have a link for those quotes?
Is Obama scrubbed from the Wright-Ayers biographies?
...They (NEA) been "teaching it" since the mid-70s/80s...
check the schools' history books.
Thanks FT & C7. Not to worry, it's archived by ETL. See #28.

I’m learning. It’s a process.
History will be REQUIRED to name William Ayers along with Obama just like history must always name Lee Harvey Oswald along with Kennedy.
Never forget, Ayers is still a mad dog bomber who was so inept he managed to kill his girfriend AND his boyfriend with a poor design!
THanks Lucy and thanks ETL!
This type of thing is exactly why I have kept journals, news clippings and printed web site pages on all major events in the past decade. My grandchildren will know exactly what happened in my lifetime.
