'Obama is overwhelmed.' (Obama ally says he's "too tired")
National Review ^ | Sunday, March 08, 2009 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 03/08/2009 12:41:18 PM PDT by Behind Liberal Lines

Perhaps it's just some Obama ally speaking out of school. But these are probably some of the most terrifying words to come from an unidentified source in some time:

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.

A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama's inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to "even fake an interest in foreign policy".

The American source said: "Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.

"That was the gamble these guys made at the front end of this presidency and I think they're finding it a hard thing to do everything."

It's at moments like this I'm reminded of this assessment of Obama, back in 2007: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

That assessment came from . . . Vice President Joe Biden.

Well, it is bright from a color perspective, not from a leadership view.

I expected some purple accents somewhere.

Oh puleeze. Dems never resign. They keep in office when criminalizing it. No , Obama will allow Michelle run the office till he is rested up. After all Edith Wilson helped out Woodrow when he had a stroke. And Eleanor had an office in the WH. Nope. No matter how disgustingly inefficient or weary or inexperienced the WH naif is, he will remain, battling on for socialist pacifism and will probably get another term where he will be exhausted doing the ‘people’s business.’!!!!!!!

His being tired isn't’t that scary. I sincerely doubt he’s the one actually making any of the decisions anyway. That’s the scary part.

You hit it right on the head..He was never more than a vehicle for their agenda...The Rising Star who came out of dirty Chicago politics to become a Senator...Black, but not too Black...Youthful and vibrant with a perfect family...Dangerously radical but appearing to be Center. They knew that he would appeal to a broad range of people across the country and that scares me more than anything.

What I can't understand is, even if Obama and his wife have absolutely NO class, why their chief of protocol didn't know better.

Exactly what I was thinking.

'Obama is overwhelmed.'

He's been overwhelmed since he learned the color of amber from Frank Marshall Davis.

Poor USA. Bulwark against tyranny. With this bastard in the lead, we're screwed. He's a plant to destroy this country. We're well underway to a revolutionary shift. How will we react and deal with this threat to our national sovereignty and American way of life.

Who is really in charge? Who really WANTS to be in charge? Face it, nationally, globally, historically, and morally; we are all screwed no matter who is in charge. We are all tired, sick and tired of something and everything!

the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk

Has Obama ever even had what the rest of us call a full-time job in his life? What a lightweight. This guy wasn't qualified to even work in the White House, much less live there.

Obama never held a real job so how is he supposed to hold up under the pressure of arguably the most stressful job in the world?

.

Good post potlatch -

I am stunned by the huge numbers of naive FReepers who keep posting “We must pray that Hussein II will wake up and.....”

“Maybe Hussein II will realize that.....”

With that mindset - those FReepers and other Americans should pray that they can sell their robes - and buy a sword (on eBay or Amazon) - to paraphrase the words of Jesus - who was never a blind naive wimp -

Jesus did not say “Just keep hoping and when you are in Heaven things will be cool and your children can do the same!”

Jesus gave specific instructions of how his disciples should be brave and fearless and go out and teach others - and most on Free Republic know that some of his followers met terrible ends -

I am not one to preach on FR threads - but the docile listless trusting attitude that Hussein II will suddenly “see the light” or experience a conversion from his Socialist/Commie agenda and path is laughable and childish -

Jesus changed the world -

Hussein II is changing it back and using a turbocharged steamroller to do it

Pleasant thoughts and wishes did not stop Hitler - and Hitler’s buddies never directly attacked the continental USA - and Adoph was defeated by the unstoppable pragmatic mindset of Ike and Patton

It is time to stop pushing Hillary’s “RESET” button and stop pretending loose coalitions of internet blogs, local groups, web newsites, letters to local newspapers, hand-wringing Centrists, and independents will turn back and crush Hussein II’s pagan hordes and millions of paid ACORN cultists

Let us recall that two (2) allegely Republican minority (pro-affirmitive action) persons that were Secretary of State - openly championed the grandeur of electing a racist - of their own background

Bob Grant often said that anyone who agreed 100% with all of his views, ideas, agendas - was insane
Rush would say the same

But Rush and Bob fought their way to the top and changed much of American politics and history

If you do not agree with Rush - call him up on his show - Call Sean - Call Mark

Bob Grant often called me (from WABC and WOR) to express an opinion or refute a leftie or relate some interesting information

It is your turn now

Sharpen your swords

-

My spelling may be lousy tonight for several reasons that are quite unimportant in the “big scheme of stuff”

If that bothers you -

I am only interested in content and have no time for checking my writing or using Spell-Check tonight

With a caveat; if the citizen has or is receiving Govt’ assistance from State or Federal within the last four years, they are ineligible to vote.

Alas, such a wise provision is missing from our Constitution.
