'Obama is overwhelmed.' (Obama ally says he's "too tired")
National Review ^ | Sunday, March 08, 2009 | Jim Geraghty

Perhaps it's just some Obama ally speaking out of school. But these are probably some of the most terrifying words to come from an unidentified source in some time:

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.

A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama's inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to "even fake an interest in foreign policy".

The American source said: "Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.

"That was the gamble these guys made at the front end of this presidency and I think they're finding it a hard thing to do everything."

It's at moments like this I'm reminded of this assessment of Obama, back in 2007: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

That assessment came from . . . Vice President Joe Biden.

Hussein, like the clintons, tends to surround himself with true believers, the psychophants. Most, like he, have no executive experience in the real world.

Exactly!

I don't believe he has a single self made man in his cabinet, or circle of advisor's. By this I mean, someone who started a business from the ground up and became very successful. All his advisor's are career politicians, lawyers, academics and inheritors of wealth created by someone else. He is clueless about the real America.

LORD, help us all.

Who knew reading teleprompters could be so taxing.

He reminds me of Private Benjamin, ‘I think they sent me to the wrong White House.’

I predict Sarah Palin will continue to look better and better as the Messiah steadily comes down from the mountaintop.

Bill Clinton looks better and better each day that Obama is in the White House.

Gerald Ford's corpse looks better and better each day that Obama is in the White House.

Our cat's litter box looks better and better each day that Obama is in the White House.

Wait until insomnia really gets its teeth into him.

Given the admitted history of "a little blow", it's reasonable to assume Comrade Chairman with take the path of least resistance ala pharmaceutical snake oil.

For reference, observe the ordeal former Chief Justice William Rhenquist went though.

They're comming to take you away,  Barry.

Maybe he needs to go to the gym and do some presses for those skinny biceps and squats for those scrawny thighs.

First, he needs to get over his resentments about the demands on him. He must embrace the demands as something He wanted and asked for, otherwise he will be spending too much emotional energy whining and sabbotaging himself and his effectiveness.

He needs to focus and set priorities and goals. He has several years to do things. He needs to think in advance and set wheels in motion to set up the infrastructure to handle priorities he will address down the line. Get people in place to assess, convene, consensus and plan in preparation for making recommendations to him prior to coming up with legislation or executive implementation. He can’t control every detail - just put in place a good monitoring system so he knows what is going on outside, what his people are doing and have regular briefings to make sure his advisors know what their people are doing.

Compounding lies isn’t easy...

0 isn't even 100 days into office and every serious person I know is very concerned. We are in the middle of an economic mess and he's raising taxes. He's having the govt take over controlling interest in banks. He's supporting legislation that gives bankruptcy judges the power to reduce principal balances on mortgages. He is pushing for forced unionization of the workplace by thugs. He is attempting to nationalize health care and kill school choice programs.

We are still cleaning up the mess created by Jimmy Carter. How do we clean this crap up?

“People say he looks tired more often than they’re used to,” the strategist said. “He’s still calm, but there have been flashes of irritation when he thinks he’s being pushed to make a decision sooner than he wants to make it. He looks like he needs a cigarette.”

Mr Obama was teased by the New York Times on Thursday in a front page story which claimed to have detected a greater prevalence of grey hairs since he entered the White House.”

Wahhhhhhhhhh stop whining and get to work. What a wimp.
