Unfortunately, we are saddled with a communist sympathizer in the White House. I don't know whether or not he's an actual card carrying commie, but he's definitely an America-hating, anti-capitalist Marxist leftist who thinks communism is the way to go. Now I remember when America used to fight against communism. It wasn't that long ago. Many of us on FR are veterans of wars against communism and some of us believe that American citizens who are communists are the enemy within, ie, the domestic enemy we've sworn to defend against. American citizen? hmmmm... that may be a loophole for Obama.
At any rate, the oath is to defend our constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I can imagine that this places an enormous strain on our Secret Service agents. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Obama is an enemy of the constitution. So should the SS defend the constitution or defend the anti-constitution commie?
So now comes the problem. If you feel it's your duty to call Obama a traitor and use salty language in your proposed resolution, ie, suggest the commie be keelhauled, walked off the plank, run up the yardarm, tarred and feathered and run out of Dodge, etc, etc, etc, you may be facing a visit from your friendly Secret Service. And even though your visiting agent may agree politically, and may take his oath to the constitution seriously, he's still sworn to protect the officeholder and it's his duty to take all threats seriously. And that may include serving me with a subpoena to turn over your IP address. Now I'm duty bound to protect your privacy to the best of my ability, but I cannot defend against stupidity.
Best advice I can give is to keep it to yourself. Don't post anything that may embarrass you later, or end you up in the slammer.
Ever vigilant.
Keep your powder dry.
Better Chloe than Janice...
I have a theory that one of the reasons the left leaked it out was that some of them . . . knew the long term plans.
Regardless, we are MUCH closer now to such an event.
With folks leaking news from diverse directions of the one government alphabet org training gangs in how to ramp up crime waves horrendously on the org’s signal.
Wasnt that movie about President Bush being assassinated?
it was. and those people smirked. and hoped.
I pray I’m not, too.
The SS may be no more effective at stopping derogatory comments about the POTUS than the Border Patrol stopping illegal immigrants, drug runners, and Mexican Cartel invasions....
They are both tsunamis....
I've been biting my lip but, I don't know if I can stomach much more of this censorship. (not yours, theirs)
There are plenty of ways to express our extreme displeasure without crossing the line.
Think about how a pornographer manages to legally not be a pornographer, for one example.
For another, there are ways to get the truth out that don't cross the line. Allegorical works of fiction. Humor. And the ever popular "Today the administration denied rumors that..."
I think your description is the model to follow. Calling him names or describing his theories as marxist = ok. Determining that you should therefore follow up with some specific action = not ok.
God will avenge, everyone. It’s up to Him, or the voters. Pray for our country.
Sound advice.
Semper Fi!
They already went after a woman in Texas who made a derogatory comment at a traffic stop.. ended with SS at her home .... forewarned and all that, just think before you post.
There was also a woman in Texas who told off a Obama telemarketer during the campaign and received a visit from the Secret Service.
I agree, Jim.
I think we should hit the “abuse” button if we see that a poster has crossed the line and is making what a reasonable person would see as a threat against POTUS.
As to what SS would find “reasonable” I have no clue.
But too much “salty talk” could have a negative impact on the whole site.
What, something like democrat? Or a liberal?
~~Wise counsel, Jim ............... PING!
(email, phone gathering time as well )
I still have the FR concession on pitchforks and torches, right?
What I was demonstrating was that they can't interview everyone that posts salty language...but they can selectively interview people. This is their job.
I bet they never got around to interviewing all the Hollywood stars that used salty language about Bush.....
I would suspect that if it was proven in court that not a single thing one wrote was unlawful and further, one’s constitutional rights were completely violated and further it has caused one immense emotional trauma and totally damaged the quality of one’s life, etc., etc. etc....
I know that if I sat on the jury, I would totally sympathetic for the “victim” in cases of infringement of constitutional rights and free speech. Its time to start using the system against them. My vote would be for awarded damages that would be massively punitive and historic in nature for oppression and violating protected speech among other things.
Its time the government fear its citizens who pay for said government - not the other way around.
Jefferson and the others had many choice words, parables, and dissertations on where to tell a government to go shove it.
Pour on the anger and do it effectively.
Everything I post is posted as though the one person in the world who would jump at any chance to see the most harm come to me is going to read it. It has served me pretty well.
I’ve said some dumb stuff but I am as careful as possible to take responsibility for my implications but nobody’s inferences.
The inferences of others will not get you in “real” trouble. One’s own implications can, however.
IOW, I completely agree with you Jim. We can say things are bad and we are doing what we deem necessary that is legal and constitutional to preserve ourselves and our families, but talking about doing harm to others or other “implications” could be very dangerous very soon.
(yet)
Oh and the entire Obama Party is a bunch of traitors who should be keelhauled, tared and feathered and run out of town on a rail. Come and get me Libtards!
