I always suspected that talk of the decline of the US as a force for good in the world was overblown. However, a boxed set of DVDs to our strongest historical ally, and the progenitor of our legal and cultural system is surely a sign that the feelings we are all starting to feel are not without foundation.
If we cannot communicate as a world power in the small things, we surely will not communicate as a world power in the large things.
Obama has brought shame on us all, and the worst part is that half of the people in this country will see nothing wrong with what happened, even if they cared enough to find out about it.
Thank you Lord for allowing us to be a beacon of hope for the world for a time, anyway. Let us find that spot again.

Words fail. Does this man have no idea of our relationship with Great Britain? Absent that, does he have no idea about protocol for heads of state? What a classless and ignorant person to be in the WH.

Cold? I’m from Indy! I can tell ya about cold.
When I was young, went to Dallas for a trip and walking around downtown...it was about 65 degrees.
People were bundled in heavy coats looking like we were out of our minds for running around in t-shirts....it was warm compared to the 20 below where we came from!

Oh my gosh, my husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary next year for two weeks in England. This is simply astounding (and not in a good way). The only thing I can think to do is be an ambassador for my country, by showing respect, being cordial and cheery, and not breaking que. LOL. Seriously, this is a problem that I hope we can overcome.
