Zero is going after a private citizen. Why? Because that private citizen is rallying the country against his socialist policies. And he can't tolerate opposition.

"The GOP can choose to panic and say “No, no, he’s not our real voice! Why would you say such a thing?” or they can start growing a backbone and calling out the WH on this crap.

How about a third option, ignore them. Every time a Republican either embraces or disavows Limbaugh, two people win - Rush Limbaugh and Barack Obama. It's great for Limbaugh's wallet and it's even better for Obama's political strategy.

So, for the third or fourth day in a row (frankly, I've lost count) Republicans are talking about Rush Limbaugh rather than Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Barack Obama. This is a losing strategy for the GOP (and conservatives) and are WINNING strategy for Barack Obama and the DNC.

"Republicans and Limbaugh need to point out that the stock market has tanked since Obama’s election."

Rush points it out daily.

The Republicans, on the other hand:

I think he’s using Rush to set up the sheeple for acceptance of the fairness doctrine.

So I can have Boehner, McCain, and Specter as the faces of the Republican party or I can have Rush? Gee, that’s an easy choice! Go Rush! The “go along, get along” crowd is what got us into this mess. Heck with that, it’s time to get in their face.

Republicans and Limbaugh need to point out that the stock market has tanked since Obama’s election.

Rush did that just today - said how many thousands of points the DOW was down since Obama's inauguration. And then that it really started tanking when it appeared Obama would win the election.

"I think it would be charitable to say he doubled down on what he said in January in wishing and hoping for economic failure in this country," Gibbs said.

Gibbs...you deceitful fungus.

That aside, when Marxist Obama works to associate Rush w the GOP, it inevitably invites a comparison between the two.

I get a chuckle when El Rushbo makes a bid deal out of never using a 'prompter, contrasting himself with Marxist Obama who can't even make offhand remarks at a rodeo without one.

.

How should Rush respond? By politely suggesting a debate, of course.

But this really confirms it’s their strategy,
the fools. Don’t mess with Rush.

There just may just end up being another huge
eBay auction that provides lots of help to our
brave military families.

This is war.

The Obama White House has begun advancing an aggressive political strategy: convincing the country that the real power behind the Republican Party is not the GOP leaders in Congress or at the Republican National Committee, but rather provocative radio talk show king Rush Limbaugh.

This strategy will be as successful as Dan Quayle socking it to Murphy Brown.

Totally agree with you! We should embrace all the “Rules” for Radicals and turn it right back on them while circling Limbaugh at the same time. Rush is the face of the GOP. Rush is PASSIONATE PATRIOTISM. That’s what we all are..He’s earned the microphone to speak much of what I believe.

You want to know why communism, socialism, etc. fails. It’s because you can destroy “the yearning” in some men, but no one can ever destroy the “yearning to soar” in all men.

The silent majority has to stand uP, SHOUT OUT.

I actually recommend nationwide HIGH TEA PARTIES (during rush hour) outside of our local congressional offices to express our patriotism.

How about a third option, ignore them. Every time a Republican either embraces or disavows Limbaugh, two people win - Rush Limbaugh and Barack Obama. It's great for Limbaugh's wallet and it's even better for Obama's political strategy.

What's wrong with Limbaugh earning a living?

What's wrong with speaking out against a president who's trying to silence discussion and whose party is even now trying to figure out how to stamp out free expression?

So, for the third or fourth day in a row (frankly, I've lost count) Republicans are talking about Rush Limbaugh rather than Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Barack Obama. This is a losing strategy for the GOP (and conservatives) and are WINNING strategy for Barack Obama and the DNC.

You must be listening to a different station than I am. It's not a losing strategy to talk about free speech in concrete as opposed to theoretical terms--people need to see specific, real examples of how Obama is trying to silence dissent.

Obama isn't winning because of this, he's winning because he's a new president and people are waiting for the other shoe to drop. I seem to recall Reid and Pelosi being criticized for years. Didn't seem to stop them. You think suddenly people are going to say "Yeah, that Reid and Pelosi, how about them?" With the exception of Gingrich no modern party leader in congress has ever been the focal point of the general public's interest. Most people don't know who they are, or can't quite place why they're famous.

The Limbaugh thing isn't a winning strategy for the Dems. They are attempting to divide and conquer, starting with the most visible public non-governmental face of the GOP. They will move on once they've destroyed him. At what point will we say "OK, THIS one is important enough to fight for!"? When the personal destruction starts getting to Congressional members? Too late then, the Dems will have written the storyline, and people will say "OH, I see, this is a pattern..."

We have to write the storyline. Tossing Limbaugh to the dogs because we're jealous that he's a rich commentator is suicide, not because I care about him per se, but because he is one part of a larger strategy. If we refuse to see the larger picture, we're sunk. The dems are banking on responses like yours, I'm afraid.

P.S. If you believe this, why on Earth would you suggest "Ignore them" as a strategy?

Were I running the GOP I would use your quotations from Rules for Radicals.

"RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."

See Post 34.

"This strategy will be as successful as Dan Quayle socking it to Murphy Brown."

Obama is pretty easy to ridicule.

I don’t know how many of you heard Rush today.....he talked about how all of what Obomba was doing is hurting our country....I could hear the tears in his words....he was genuinely reflecting what we are all feeling....this country is being attacked by force....from within....THIS IS WAR....21st Century warfare....and we’d better be prepared to fight it THEIR way....like some say...with Alinsky tactics....and with finding other ways to educate the masses....and whatever methods are required.

Right back at 'em

Here's the face of the Democrat Party

GEORGE SOROS

george-sorosCurrently, Soros is chairman of Soros Fund Management and the Open Society Institute and is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is known for having donated large sums of money in a failed effort to defeat President George W. Bush’s bid for re-election in 2004. He supported Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 U.S. presidential election.
