Portland Tea Party of the National Chicago Tea Party
This event is non-partisan. Progressives are angered by Washington's continued pandering to corporate 'fat-cats' and conservatives are angered by Washington's willingness to prop-up failed enterprise. We have a common purpose -- Washington is NOT listening!
Washington is encouraging BAD behavior. We are already paying to prop-up zombie banks and, this new "Home Affordability Plan" allows bankruptcy judges to revisit the terms of a loan? CNBC's Rick Santelli has it right, In America, a card laid is a card played and contracts must be sacred. Do we really want to teach our children, (whom this plan will inundate with debt) that there are "do over's" in the real world if the mistake is big enough?

We are unable to travel to the Valley from the Coast but we are wearing our Mint Tea bags on our Lapels here on the coast throughout the week.
Have you guys thought about the Litter Fines?
No on the litter fines.. that would be a little funny.

Just asking about the litter fines as now a days ya just never know what the govt. will do to collect revenue.
I think it is great that it is a non partison event like the Pro Life Marches.
My Prayer intention for a huge turnout in support here in the PNW.
Wish I could be there....but have a function at my house that afternoon....plus...we need to get this on a weekend one of these times.....would mean MORE PEOPLE since conservatives usually are working stiffs, er, TAXPAYERS!
I agree... not sure how this thing ended up on a Friday.
If people in Portland are joining in, it means that Obama is loosing support big time. They are mostly democrats.
We will see how many are from Portland proper. I am 50 minutes north in Washington.
You all should have waited until the University of Oregon and Oregon State go on Spring Break.
Or, this could just be a warm up and then we can do a bigger event later
yeah.. I just got onboard with the local event.
I was surprised with teh time/date. But we will give it a go and see what happens. At least we will have lines of communications open for future efforts.

I do not believe so, though the local orgainizer has been on many of the local radio stations.
I see there will be one in SW Washinton. I am in SW Washington but I didn’t see where in the article it states the location of the Washington event.
