A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The Constitution clearly defines who is entitled to seats in Congress. The State and the State only, DC is not a state. After a thorough explanation of why this bill was unconstitutional, they passed it anyway.
These old RINOs just seem to loose all perspective as they get older....sigh.
You must be a civie? It will never reached the Whitehouse. The soldier will receive a court martial and given a dishonorable discharge. He will be ruined for life from working in any capacity that requires a criminal background check. He will have a permanent entry in the FBI NCIC database. At this point his life will be over - was it worth it? Think about it...

Term limits would get rid of so much of this crap. These old goats never retire because they cannot release the power they wield.
Actually, prior military. My uncertainty may come from the fact that I have not read every word of every story on this guy. I have not seen that he violated an order from a superior commissioned officer, just that he has questioned whether the Community-Organizer-in-Chief is qualified as Commander-in-Chief. I don't think he can be court-martialled for his questions without proof that Obama is qualified. If he has disobeyed orders, that's a whole different story, obviously.
Right on. There is no Constitution there only 9 politicos with black robes.
Welcome to Free Republic
I think we have successfully proved that oaths to protect and defend the constitution can be taken very very lightly since abiding by the oath will more than likely send you to Leavenworth. I think most congressman and senators view it that way also. The bottom line is that this is not the USA but Alice’s Wonderland where nothing makes much sense. I often use my belief and intention to obey the constitution to get out of jury duty. Judges want no such people on juries.
You said — “You joined today just to say that. Makes me go hmmmmmm. Worried?”
He’s very right, as is post #29... It will never be allowed by the military...
Please point out the portion of the link you posted
that is relevant to this brave man’s action.
I bet he doesn’t have “standing.”
There are many here on Free Republic who have “fanciful interpretations” on what the military will do and how our system of government is organized and what we can do to get rid of Obama.
I’ve seen postings from FReepers that *absolutely swear* that all it takes to get Obama out is a court order from a judge and that ordering a Marshal to escort Obama out of the White House (under those court orders) and that would be it. Obama would be out of there. Problem solved!
And then, furthermore, I’ve had other FReepers say that what will happen if no judge takes action (like the one proposed above) then the military will take action and surround the White House with tanks and take over the government and kick Obama out of there. Problem solved!
Now, these are posts from *supposedly* people who know the Constitution and our form of government. Oh boy! If that’s so, we’re in more trouble than many know... LOL...
And now, we see that all that is necessary is for some soldier to disobey orders on “supposedly” legitimate grounds that Obama is not the Commander in Chief and is not qualified to be there and therefore is not the duly-elected leader and/or President and he doesn’t have to follow the orders of a “usurper” (for the Office of President of the United States).
Well, from all of the above, I’ve got to say, that at one time I thought the people of Free Republic were a lot smarter — but now I see that they fall into the same category as other “weird websites” and “conspiracies” I see out there on the web — like “Philip Berg” (for example) as one who says that our ex-President George Bush was complicit in the 9/11 attack (and he’s suing him for those victims, doncha know...).
Free Republic is getting infested with some *very weird thinking* of late....
Frickin’ troll. Sign up just today so you could tell people not to question Bozo about his BC? The SCOTUS has NOT ruled on this matter. It is still unsettled and will not be dropped until it is resolved.
You said — “I often use my belief and intention to obey the constitution to get out of jury duty. Judges want no such people on juries.”
You ought not to do that, but rather, keep it quiet and to yourself and answer things in a normal and nondescript way and when you get on the jury, you can educate the others as what they should really do...
That would be more effective.

The article said — “A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an “impostor” in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama’s eligibility to be commander in chief.”
Now, the military could tell him not to join in as a plaintiff, because questioning the Commander in Chief like that is against the military rules and regulations. And if he refuses to abandon it, then he can be prosecuted under the military law.
I don’t know if that has happened or not, but if not yet, then I suspect that won’t be too far behind...
True, but sad, that patriots have to hide their intentions in order to exercise them in the US Court system.
Worried?
And now, we see that all that is necessary is for some soldier to disobey orders

some soldier? SOME SOLDIER? The tone of your posts shows exactly how much respect you have for out military. You are repulsive.

No, it provides me some humor in observing the Obama Derangement Syndrome, at work among a few on Free Republic... :-)
I am found, many times, chuckling to myself, while reading some of these antics, like the ones I described up in Post #52. No matter how many times I read those posts, I never fail to get a chuckle out of it...
