Gov. Bobby Jindal not conservative enough for some in La.

MONROE -- When Gov. Bobby Jindal talks to the nation Tuesday, he will be feted by the national Republican Party as the GOP's own man of hope -- an antidote to President Barack Obama.

Louisiana's 37-year-old governor will deliver the GOP's response to Obama's national address, and it'll be a breakthrough moment. He'll be the talk of political junkies, and the conservative punditry will likely gush over him and his inspirational story, the Rhodes Scholar son of Indian immigrants.

But there's a twist: Back home in Louisiana, a state that turns more Republican with every election cycle, Jindal is not conservative enough for some. He's facing a rebellion from an unlikely source -- the homegrown conservative punditry.

The wellhead of discontent can be traced to a syndicated political talk radio host at a small station in Monroe in north Louisiana. Around these parts, he is affectionately called the "Louisiana Limbaugh."

If the AP is gunning for Jindal, then he’s probably doing something right.

“Jindal is not conservative enough for some.”

They’re probably waiting to repeal the 13th, 15th 19th, 23rd and 24th ammendments

The orthodox right-of-right wing-nuts should go form their own party.

Jindahl is a Conservative symbol in that he’s a good person, hoever he’s not conservative enough for me, I’m not from Louisiana, but subtle policy nuances would force me to choose someone else on the national level (possibly DeMint or Sanford).

Yep the AP is Anti Palin, and now Anti Jindal, that’s a very good sign. Means they are scared of both of them

Sounds like Jindal is more like the “Charlie Crist of Louisiana”

I think too many in the GOP like Jindal because he is the “Great Dark Hope” (a la Michael Steele)...and not for being conservative

Funny thing. Both Crist and Jindal where on Meet the Press this past weekend. They couldn't have sounded more different.

Mark Sanford may be more conservative than Bobby Jindal-- but I didn't like how Sanford cowered to Jennifer Granholm on Fox News Sunday. To me that's not Presidential material. If you can't stand up to Jennifer Granholm you can't stand up to the liberal media.

Crist is a horrible RINO. Did Crist sing Judy Carland show tunes?

Jindal is good but Sanford is probably better.

Any long term plan that does not repeal these amendments is kicking the can down the road.

We either return the Fed back to something resembling what the Founders intended, or we don’t.

LOOKS LIKE THE RON PAUL NUTS ARE GOING TO GO AFTER JINDAL NOW. Losers, every one of them. Jindal is a great conservative.

Yes, Crist is a terrible RINO. Sanford is fantastic, I just wish he had a little more charisma.

Wow. You really want those repealed?

“...something resembling what the Founders intended”

What the founders intended was having an ammendment process. They aren’t the 10 Commandments.
