HG has been here long enough that for somebody to refer to him as a troll is rather laughable. I doubt that a child or even high school student would be posting anal retentive complaints about punctuation and capitalization. It is possible that someone has hijacked HG's account and is posting the comments, but it is more likely that he just had a bug up his butt about grammar and punctuation and was unable to evaluate the content of a comment because he couldn't get past the informal sytle of the post.
Texas on alert
Concerns over the border protests prompted the Texas governor's office on Tuesday to place its operations center for border contingencies on alert, said Katherine Sessinger, a spokes woman for Gov. Rick Perry in Austin.
"This is the initial phase of the contingency plan, called increased coordination, but they stood down once it was determined there was no spillover of the violence," Sessinger said.
"Slinked away..." is a very apt description of their behavior. Wish the Democrats in Washington would do that right about now.
I don't have a working crystal ball, but the way things are headed, I think the DC Dems may actually be running for a border in the not-too-distant future.
A guy I went to boot camp with (Berkowitz, I think — Not David) wore that shirt on day 1.
Went over like a fart in church
Mmm-kay.
Some info at the following post. It sounds like Patrick was doing a littly hyping while he had the spotlight for a few minutes. JMO.

I think he has made very reasonable posts in the past, but I would call some of his posts in this thread trollish. I don't want to feed trolls, temporary or otherwise, so this is my last post on the subject.
Anyone check with Sen. Patrick’s office about this?

It has begun. Fregards, Texas!
Somewhere up thread I posted an article from The Monitor which I think basically indicates this is a normal alert process which was in place. I think Patrick was embellishing for his interview. After all he had a radio talk show in the Houston area so it wouldn't be unusual to hype things a bit, imo.
Yeah, they'll impound juries that will fine the ranchers along the US side of the border $78,000 punitive damages each.
Gosh darn, Texans, remember Goliad! Remember the Alamo!!
Remember Darrel Royal!
This one?

Ping-a-ling
Not to beat a dead horse, but on tonight's ABC news, they're poll of Obama job performance for the first month has 68% of American's approving of Obama. Even though the DJIA has lost over 2,200 points since he was elected and he's decided to let loose unambigous terrorists to roam free in the world, America thinks he's great.
I don't recognize my country anymore and it deeply saddens me.
“I don’t recognize my country anymore and it deeply saddens me.”
First off, there is no way 68% of the American people approve of Odumbo. It’s an ABC poll, for crying out loud. They polled their staff and that’s where they got the 68%.
As for not recognizing our country, I know your sadness. We did not fight, our fathers did not fight, our grandfathers did not fight, etc. just to have our beloved America become a socialist’s wet dream. But, the Founding Fathes fought against tremendous odds, persevered, and gained their fredom and the freedom of their posterity. We owe it to future generations to do no less.
